At least vod sp as stabilised above £2. Yes there's plenty wrong in global areas at present, but as a share Vodafone as ongoing questions. Buying liberty assets/ or company. Raising the capitol, rights issue maybe. Keeping dividend at present levels. Maybe buying other media assets. Maintaining set earnings + profit forevasts.On may 15th things should be more clear. It would be interesting to know when citigroup made their previous price target of £2 40, how much Vodafone sp was on that day. Say it was £2 20, then is still a similar outlook,other than they now think it's a "buy".

Every rights issue I can recall as fallen to the rights issue price. So in my opinion, why would Vodafone be any different. I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

well , theirs only 1 certainty atm + that is the stock market hates uncertainty , so this sure as hell wont go up at present. as ive said before , if a rights issue was set at � 1 75, then vod sp will go down to there or there abouts. thats 17p down from here , so vodafone are not going to give you a bonus 17p. but you would expect it to go up on rights issue day imo. victor needs to spill the beans to end the speculation.

Well , I admire your bravery. It seems now, most people see Vodafone as a long term Divi stock. Which it as been for the most of us. All of us hope the Divi isn't cut. But of cause you just never know what's around the corner in life + the stock market. 7 weeks till vod update. Don't see to much upside at present, too much worldwide to act as a drag.

Imo , 3 reason's vod so won't go much higher from here Gerry. 1 , the revolving door at the white house. Trump great at getting business moving, but he is + will remain a bull in a China shop with endless in fighting. uncertainty. 2 , Russia, if you believe the spineless English press Russia are causing political chaos worldwide. Peeing allover may + her spineless cronies. More uncertainty will follow. 3, brexit bull,h,t. Surely no one believes there is anything but brexit but in name only. Huge uncertainty which is endless. Warren buffet , said the other day the longer you own a share the safer it becomes. Well he's the shares guru, who most seek out his opinions. Not sure I agree entirety with that sentiment.if as to be the right share + you need some luck. It's a toss of a coin as to which way things will go ATM. As I stated a few weeks ago ,. A run from £195 to 207, seems the range at present. I certainly don't see any big break out from here. Dow Jones seems in a downward swing again , indeed set to open down again. Vodafone as in the last 4 years gone beyond £2 40 plus on liberty rumours. Well their gone now, so I'm not sure where a good run up can come from in the short term. But when a share as a run it , as a run, with no rhyme or reason to it. Gla + ATB.

hi danieth , have googled rights issue + it confirms what I state. it say share price usually goes down to the discounted price + as their are more shares in circulation so the value of the shares is reduced, which is what I stated. think your snowed in or snowed under . ive taken up rights issues with 2 previous companys , so have a brief experience with them. both shares went down to the discounted price + both went up on isuue day. but nither recovered to the price they were on the day the rights issued was announced .
