I see talk talk is struggling in the telecoms sector + as cut its divi and trying to prop up its balance sheet. that doesnt help imo. going forward , I now see vod sp trading from � 197 to �2 10 for a good few months , until all this volatility ends. mind you with brexit , that could take 8 to 10 years. a lot of pain at the moment, but lets just suck it up and see what happens on may 15 th , vod results. no doubt will be loads of conjecture, but time as always will tell. gla + atb.

Did glaxo cut their Divi.

When I say over, i mean vod sp will plummet + probably stay way below £2 for donkeys years. Take Sainsbury's. Share price was around £ 3 30 + it cut a very good Divi by 10%. Share price plummeted + been in a trading range of £2 20 to £2 55 for ages. It won't get back to £ 3 30 in a long , long time. 3 months ago, vod results were v good + up profit forecasts. Then just 3 months later + based on just 3 months trading results + price comparison , suddenly it's all doom + gloom for this share. It doesn't add up. 13 weeks to vod next update + do I think it will cut Divi, no After that who knows . That broker as always been negative on Vodafone.

The sell off continues. That rise lasted long. The sell off in USA now in full swing, suppose it had to come. But always at wrong time. Sods law. My £ 2 40 looks safe ATM. I'm on HBO's , lloyds.ive read a few articles on this vod/liberty + it seems that Vodafone want to buy assets from liberty that they have in Germany + Hungary + a few other countries. This is different from 2015, where I think the talks were about a full blown merger, then after it was asset swops( Holland). If Vodafone buy assets from liberty they won't come cheap so vod so would go down on purchase.having said that vod CEO Victor seems hellbent on a merger with liberty. Liberty owner Maloney a bit coy.i predict that within 3 to 5 years these 2 will merge or try to. Dow down over 2% in USA, so this couldn't av cum at a better or worse time.

Yes, my Divi went in around 11 am. Even if theirs no truth, at least it's given vod SP a boost. Time will tell. In may 2015 , vod SP went down 11p on results only to rally about 25p or more in the following days with the liberty Dutch assets swap. Let's hope for a similar result here.gla + ATB. Well , 1st the good news. Division tomorrow. Hooray. Dividend in 26 long weeks. We all hope. Now the bad. Well I think you can kiss goodbye to £2 40 for the next 3 months. If you were paddy power you would payout now as a no brainer. Seems discounting as affected the bottom line. Good long term hold for the dividend, but little else , at present. Well my crystal ball must be half decent. I said about 3 weeks ago vod SP would rise on results day by 4 to 6 p , but then markets will sell off. Well the markets are now selling off. if you bought shell at �18 and the shell sp rose to �24 , then it receded back to �16 , youd be a fool not to have sold. ok divi is great , but that's a no brainer, imo.

Was looking for a quick profit so bought shell A , as you get more as their cheaper. Got about 30p a share divided on the A's, you pay about 17% tax per share. Does anyone know what time on Thursday shell announce their results. Thx + gla + ATB.

Hi Daniel, if you recall, we were talking about brexit, were we not. To which I pointed out that their would be brexit in name only. As the government are doing brexit. , this made me then refer to the police, army , government + so on. I didn't just bring them into the forum. The discussion of brexit outlined their failings.
