Hey leave Greybird alone, we all know that he has no clue about investing and just wants a bit of attentiion. He is no more in Hungary then he was on a Golfing trip to Lossiemouth last winter (when the weather made any golf impossible). But each to thier own and if some loser wants to make up fantasy trips abroad whilst sitting in his mummys home in his underpants with mummy bringing him Doughnuts before bathtume then why shouldn't he.

Ak,; I did notice the "crusade" at UKIP and have no interest im getting involved - although maybe if I believed the P&D mob across there and got cauggt out a year ago, then I would also feel the need to join in, but probably not. I never really understand why some people on those boards need to take it apon themselves to "save" those investors from themselves. Why not make your point and move on and let others do theur own research and make up their own minds. I also suspect that a lot of good contributers have also moved to other forums or media, and I know that a lot of very good info and research, that may have been posted om here previously, is now being shared privately - sure that there are a few reasons for this but the way that this board has deteriorated will not help. Trying to get ahead of the market is hard enough, but possible with the right info , dragging the board down to UKOG levels will only ensure that less people will post anything helpful in the future. All IMO of course.

Ak, at the minute, tankers is closer to your location than the AM so do not hold your breath on that one. Guys if you think the risk of water breakthrough is anything more than minimal then sell up and move on - (I believe that there is still space in UKOG for a couple more idiots, despite this board lending them a couple of our own on a temp' basis). My belief, and after speaking to some industry experts is that the risk of water breakthrough is minimal and easily mitigated and will have been assessed and worked through in fine detail no doubt by the team.

Dickum, I think that UKOG are a company looking to discover water, and it is something they are very good at. After a year they found loads of the stuff at BB with next to zero contamination from oil. They have gone back to some old wells and I expect them to find even more water. Their CEO is Jesus Sanderson and he has told all his followers that he is going to turn the water into wine hence the hugely inflated MC. Hope this helps in your decision on where to invest your Aunties dosh.

Looked at this a while back and it is a lttle more complicated that I thought, particularly if you have a military pension or final salary type pension which do not have a pension pot as such. - The rule of thumb for final salary pensions was that your LTA was reduced by 20 x your annual pension. The Armed Forces pensions annual statement tells you how much of your LTA is has used. Good topic for discussion but as others have said, anyone that thinks the LTA may come in to play should probably be wise to take advice from a proffesional.

For once I agree ref a bankable discovery - and if you listened to Fiona last week then all indications are that testing results will be a game changer. Pijoe - you must be extremly positive and bullish about Hurricane going forward in as much that you have now raised your buy in price from 30p to 45/50p,. Here is hoping that your "model" continues to get those calls correct and we see your buy-back-in price at 60p soon and maybe 70p before Sep. I do hope that the new secret Oily share that you mention does well, but please do not spill those magical beans just yet, and do not give it away by posting on their board - no no no,,- wait until it is well in profit and then tell us as I find that more exciting :-) Good luck , the market needs all types of investors, traders, shorters winners and losers. Boyzee, if you were on the executuve board of any of the Major Oil Companies, or better still, put yourself in Bob Dudleys shoes. You are 80% certain that hurricane are the done deal and that Hurricane share holders may accept an early £4 billion Bid and then you need to commit another £10billion Capex to develop the acerage. - do you recommend this to your BoD and SH's. or You can wait for an extra year or until you are 99% convinced, ok it may cost you another £6 billion - but no risk to your reputation or company finance, you have banked another X billion barrels of reserves, issued a few more shares to pay for the takeover and everyone is happy, even WW :-))))) Also I believe that Hurricane are confident that ROIP is multiples of what the CPR says, so they may well have made it known that they will not be recommending any low ball offers to their shareholders. IMO only of course.

FWIW, i will be very surprised if this does not reach a new SP all time high before FOil. Very surprised..

Biffa, both look like they are statements of fact to me, and IMO, saying there is no doubt if anything reinforces it - but this is a BB and not a court of law, so I really do not see that matters either way and there is far more interesting stuff happening operationally. Still I don appoligise for miss-quoting you mate, and hopefully if there is any small dip in the SP after FOil, lets hope that it is preceded by a Pound sign.

Biffa, thats an interesting call - "this will drop off after first oil". I am not so sure that it will and there is nothing really comparable to benchmark it with. I suppose it also depends how the SP performs on the lead up to FOil - I think that FOMO (T-Over/Main Market news etc) will also keep many from selling on FOil news.
