WW, I also never knew or saw anything about it being 100boepd Buoy, not sure that this is correct, but I may also have missed it - besides it would need a few more than the 5 slots to get anywhere near 100k barrels IMO. I suspect that the spare connections are as others have mentioned - to give Hurricane the option of testing future wells, and/or just in case the 2 Planned well do not produce as projected rate and they need another 2 wells tied back in order to reach the 30k barrels a day. Makes sense to me.

Nope, I cannot see that happening, too far away to hook it up to the FPSO as a producer. IMO. Future drills will be on Halifax to get it flowing, and then drill Warwick. Get those three tested, prove up 2 massive fields and then sell them to 1 major or consortium - job done, move on. All IMO

If you listen to the CEOs last interview then he talks about the possible acquisition, which I think will happen but do not expect another Bruce deal IMO. I also believe that if it is the correct deal, then the company can also pay its share on any future wells on Meribel, Cortina or even another target that Statoil have identified on the license. Just following up from previous posts, there is nothing at all to indicate that we have a big seller in the background, and very doubtful that any of the II's are selling at those prices. It is just normal movements on low volume waiting for a bit of news, a few PIs getting bored and a few others picking up some shares early. This just requires a bit of patience although it could re rate at any time. Not a lot of free shares on offer and it would just take news of another II taking a position and this could motor, even before any deal or rig movements pre-spud on Verbier. All IMO.

Well, I had 2 small top up here today, both at 30.15 as I believe that when this moves, it will move fast. I do think that we should see news that the final seismic has been received from Total which meant the 120 clock started ticking, in fact I expected that news to come this week at the latest. Are we possibly going to see Total make a decision based on what they already have received from ECO followed closely by a decision to drill - that would be a massive re-rate and catch a lot of investors, who are waiting in the wings, off guard and scrambling for shares. IMO CPR should also arrive sometime in May, possibly early June, those thing by nature are usually conservative but I am hoping for a huge increase to Previous estimates. GLA

Cadger, the Regulator will issue the Greenhouse Gas Emission Permit stating what thermal output cannot be exceeded, how the emissions are recorded and monitored etc - no big deal. The OGA will annually issue a Flare Consent and Vent Consent - the Flaring consent is given on the condition that gas shall not be flared at an average daily rate that exceed a set tonnage. (So if the daily rate is 12 tonnes for example, the AM could exceed this as long as the average over the year was less) so plenty of wiggle space there for ramping up to 30k even if the production was "extremely gassy" Now despite what some may imply, the FPSO will be capable of producing 30mbd of oil AND any produced gas and water on top of the 30k barrels of the black stuff. Personally I think that if the 2, or eventually 3 well on Lancaster produce 30mbd then it is likely that the Flaring consent and GT usage will more than be able to take account of the Gas without having to choke back production. Anyway, our future suitors will hopefully let us use their WOSP which runs right through our acerage and any produced gas will end up in SV. Job done..

FWIW, many PIs, even the ones in the Oil Industry haven't heard of Hurricane or have been burnt by past experience of small AIM oil Companies. Fund managers/ Bluechip IIs have restrictions on backing AIM companies. and the decision makers at Major oil companies would rather wait till they are 100% sure and pay decent money, than risk their reputation now on a 70/80% chance that this will work (or whatever % chance that you want). The bottom line for me is that if this works and is a huge as what some think then the people that actually still hold shares are quids in, if it doesn't then not so. It does seem that the real experts and Major oil companies still need to be fully convinced hence the EPS,. Although I do not know why Bob Dudley and co do not just Log on here - I am sure that the blend of all knowing Ex and present Oilers, a couple of Bankers, Computer experts, Butchers, Bakers and Candlestick-makers and second rate dodgy accountants (just for good measure) will soon convince him and others to start a bidding war - starting bid $5 billion anywhere. IMO of course. Hahah

Eureka, yes correct and certainly what a lot of PIs are probably thinking as well. - a lot of the perceived risks (WBT, reservoir performance, GOR etc), cannot be realised until after FOil, so IMO a strategy that some will be working is to buy and hold up until just before FOil and then reevaluate their holding based on their own risk acceptance. Unless of course you think that the SP will be lower than now once the SURF is complete, AM on station and commissioning complete. - possible but highly unlikely IMO.

Cadger, this has been mentioned on here before, at least once by yourself - this is pretty standard stuff and will already have been done and submitted, the regulator will visit as they do on all assets, although in my experience, not necessarily before FOil and certainly not an issue that concerns me at all.

Possibly at least partly down to exchange rates although I do not see any real miss-pricing going on here and certainly not 6%, otherwise we would be seeing more signs of arbitrage happening by peeps taking a long position in Canada and shorting here - not happening at the minute. IMO.
