Grewber, you are correct about the SB being overspec, but I think that Stat will stick with Transocean and will use a working rig, rather than the hassle and costs of one that has been warm or cold stacked. The Transcocean PBLJ is contracted to a couple of completions and possible 1/2 appraisal wells WoS for Hurricane starting 01st March 18. So she may be available End Q2 if nothing else is scheduled for her.

Dick, I do not disagree with any of what you say, nor can I second guess what the outcome will be. Their does look like huge potential here but not without a fair amount of risk - I do think that the 20 million raise put JOG in a position of strength to negotiate, but the Oil Majors will usually pay the going rate for reserves irrespective of the JOGs SP or balance sheet and $80-100 million to Stat is chicken feed if the reserves justify the Capex to get it out of the ground. $2-6 per barrel would be my guess but WTFDIK.

Dick, I do not disagree with you, but nor do I really see the point that you are trying to make here, perhaps because it is to be contunued. But the way I see it, Jog bought trap for the Shell, listings and losses,P2170 was a bonus which looks like it could be highly significant and profitable - not sure how far JOG will continue, but very much doubt that they will go all the way to FOIl - personally I see Jogs share of the licence being sold at some stage, possibly even before the appraisal Wells this year, possibly later. After which I see Board back to focusing on their initial production led strategy and concentrating on the 6 -10 acquisitions that they been chasing for the last couple of years. Not sure if this aligns with how you see it, not do I profess to be as researched as others on here so happy to be corrected. PS, I see the "Wolf of Jersey" is back on here again tonight, I really must stop engaging with him, but at least if he is busy on here, then the Jersy girls are safe from his stalking for another evening at least. Grewber, the PDA have given pernission for a few wild cat drills in the Norwegian sector but certainnly nowhere near 22. If I remember correctly Stat Oil were awarded a few licenses on the 29th Round and may well be in for a few on the 30th licencing round, so they may be tying in the Spitsbergen early for a couple of those at the cheaper rates. - but it does sound like there is something else that Stat is going after which they are keeping very close to their chest for the time being. I may well have a good look at this later or tomorrow and see what I can find. Very interesting.

Lonstag, 5-10% a day would be nice and I am sure that Malcy is going to wax lyrical with tomorrow's blog being mainly about Echo, and hopefully an interview with James and Fiona to follow. Echo Looks promising again with some good acquisitions finalised which is why I bought in again first thing this morning. You have a good team heading this up, particularly now Fiona is on board. Grewber, I noticed this article last week and have been trying to find out which fields she will be drilling, not only to see if there is any links to Verbier, but also to see if Stat are possibly being tied into / partnered with other Companies that are on my watchlist. - The 22 well tie-in should reduce costs to Jog if indeed 2 or 3 of the wells include V, C and M. No PON4 applications submitted through OGA as yet that I can find which may us a few pointers, but always worth checking. Ref the RNS for Verbier, I do not think that JOG or Stat have guided Feb, although that timeline would fit. - I suspect that the Verbier RNS will give us confirmation of the 2 Appraisal drills, costs, timelines and also an update of OIP based on the Seismic and Testing done during the sidetrack, subject of course to the further appraisal wells. Anyway, those things take time, as does all the DD involved with any acquisitions, so we may need to be patient for a while yet, or not as the case may be. All IMO of course.

Interesting price movements again at 1530hrs, a few years back then it would have suggested an RNS being logged but the system has changed I believe. Not enough volume to suggest a leak either. - possibly large delayed buys going through, but looks good for a blue finish 195-200p - IMO

Guys, you really just need a bit of patience (apart from GB who needs to get a life or maybe a real friend). It may be that Stat and Jog do not upgrade the OIP numbers until after the appraisal wells, so anything on that front is a bonus. At the moment the Companies will be agreeing the exact location of the appraisal, and possibly exploration wells, getting the permitting in place to drill those well, agreeing costs, rig rates and 1001 other things that they need to do before they Release news regarding qthe 2018 drilling campaign. With regards to the asset acquisition, even once the DD has been done and they agree a way forward, there is still weeks, Nae, months of legalities to plough through before it gets announced, so again any early news on this is a bonus, but my bet on both the drilling RNS and the Acquisition RNS would be Q1 2018. - stick them in a drawer for now, add if you want at those prices and then see where we are in 6 months time. All IMO of course.
