Aqua, if investment or legislation his the sector in 10 years or so, the first to be hit will be Exploration Companies and new licences. - if that did happeb which is debatable then the Oil Price would go through the roof and plays like GLA and GWA would be worth a fortune. Am, I did wonder that but find the statement very positive "we have already commenced work on reinstating the gas compression system on the Aoka Mizu and tie-in to the West of Shetlands Pipeline to evaluate the GLA and GWA gas" - An, do you remember the extra permit that was issued for seabed work around the same time as the hook-up which never received much discussion here(if any) as everyone was to busy predicting huge waves till May at the time. I never was sure what that was about.

Plus do they and what restricts us to producing only 20mmbd - is it the flaring consent, or is it the gas handling equipment on the FPSO. I suggest that this has been guided on the flaring consent and will be conservative due to the GOR being unknown. Also quite possible that if it is flaring consent then the OGA and BEIS may be flexible, they certainly have been on other FPSOs when gas compression has been unavailable due to equipment issues.

McB that's what I am saying, the Tie-back to the WOSP will facilitate this, I just was unaware that work was already ongoing.

The CEO has wrote that work on not the gas compression system (on the FPSO) and on the Tie back to the WOSP (West of Shetlands Pipeline) has already began. I knew this was on the cards but not that it had already started, or did I miss something. This is, in my opinion, extremely positive as it means that production could be even higher than the guided average 17mmbd, long before the first GWA well is tied back.

I am perhaps lucky, great wife, great kids, friends and family family, those and a job I enjoy - that takes up most of my time, not posting on those Boards constantly,and worrying what others are saying, or how much of their portfolio is invested in a share.

I am invested here because Hurricane has 2.6 bnboe gross reserves and contingent resources. They are on budget and on track for EPS-first oil in the next few weeks. The EPS will supply the data that Hurricane and any future suitors need to value the potential of their licenses. They also have a well being drilled (The first of 3) on GWA which has not been factored into the SP. They are weeks, maybe days away from generating cash by producing oil and putting the remaining steps in place that will facilitate a premium Market Listing.
BP yesterday announced that with their partners, they will spend $6billion dollars to produce 300million barrels in the Caspian Sea - that shows that there is a huge appetite and cash available for longer term investment in the Industry, time will tell. That's just a few reasons I have invested here. Sorry I can't stay and chat but I have the 100 page annual report to read - certainly a lot more interesting that the majority of drivel being posted here.

I see that BP and partners have just sanctioned the $6billion dollar ACE project in Azerbaijjan - they are targeting 300million barrels over the lifetime of the project and hoping for first oil in 2023. Breakeven cost per barrel approx $25-30.

UKOG has a market cap many multiples of Block Energy, with very little production, lots of debt, they will need to jump through many hoops with the NIMBYs to get permits, and then find the funds.
BLOCK ENERGY on the other hand have so much oil, they have to choke the well back i till they can get more storage capacity. No permitting issues, no debt, most share held by institutions and another three wells soon to be drilled, and a shot load of gas.

What's not to like here. In fact the only thing we have in common are a couple of daft dampers, this share doesn't need ramping, stick to facts, they speak for themselves.

I wonder if we will start seeing a couple more TR1's as the big boys take their positions and the news starts to get out.

Foresight, you have lost me with your last post, (not too hard I suppose). When the AM is ready to open up the wells then that is what they will do, whether we call it First Oil or "Introduction of Hydrocarbons" it matters not. Hurricane will then conduct a serious of tests for about 3 weeks, seeing how the wells perform under natural lift, the ESPs, together or with 1 shut in shut in periods and will gather a lot of data and info from it. Then after they have finished playing they will start flowing them at a steady rate, 10mmbd has been guided. This is when Hurricane will declare Foil officially and the AM day rate starts.
That's my understanding anyway. - Introduction of Hydrocarbons will be RNS'd and approx 3 weeks later Foil will be RNS'd.

What you on about getting more ready, it really is not as simple as plug and play. I guessed that the commisioning would take 4-6 weeks and was told by industry experts that that was optimistic. It will happen when the FPSO is ready and safe, and if that's this Friday or in 3 weeks time then that's ok with me.

Gang, most deferred work or carry over work scopes to meet milestones would have been completed where possible in the Cromarty. As other have said it takes as long as it takes. Then we will get the doomsayers predicting and shout g delayed prior to the second Foil RNS. The the rumours on the drill - rrspud, fishing job required etc. Ignore the noise on here and have a bit of patience because we are not far away at all.

Ironic, do not believe all you hear about the MMs, they will create a market but are not to blame for the SP doing what investors want or think it will do. It is still very much supply and demand driven and the MMs will want to balance their books daily where possible. There are other market forces that have a lot more influence that what the MMs ever have.
The SP here moves fast due to the small number of shares not in "sticky hands". I fist got seiously interested in Block only 3 months ago thanks to Malcys blog even though I had watched the Crow's interviews previously. I do believe that this is only one of a few genuine small O&G COMPANIES that have really huge potential on the AIM market.

MCB, 4-6weeks was my original guesstimate, it will happen soon IMO.

MT, thanks for sharing Ben's email, that is what RT was referring to, the introduction of Hydrocarbons is Foil in many people's eyes, for about a further 3 weeks the will go through different tests with the wells to get data that they require as RT said before ramping up to 10mmbd towards the end of the 3 weeks. So within days, Hurricane could be producing oil for the first time that they will then sell to the market via the BP offload agreement that is already in place.
