I don't think they will switch to fuel gas for the GTs in till they have finished the data gathering from the wells which will be a couple of weeks after they introduce hydrocarbons. Obviously this is a totally different and smaller flare than we saw from the Spitzbergen which was flaring all hydrocarbons, not just the gas.

Guys, I have been in and out of Nano a few times over the last couple of years, not currently holding but drop in every so often to keep an eye on things with a view to getting back in at some stage. So can anyone please shed some light or explain why the Directors offloaded shares this week as it is ussually a red light for me. I did note that some was a charitable donation, and possibly for tax purposes, or other reasons, views welcome.

Trigger, you may be an optimist, but you are being totally unrealistic IMO - not your thought on the SP- they are possible, but hoping that you are going to find "sensible and stable investors" here - no chance. :-)

Hi Daltry, sorry mate, I cannot agree with you post about needing a war, although I suspect it may have been slightly toung in cheek. Unless of course we take out Belgium and the French on the way to which ever county that we are going to invade for their Oil, then you have my vote. ;-) on the proviso that we avoid innocent trees or windmills.

I understood and thought NigWits original article about potentially some Investment Funds diversifying was interesting and worth looking into -, but after it was continuously posted over and over it sounded like there was an agenda, so I stopped reading it or commenting - when he decided to then accuse me of trying to manipulate others and telling them to filter me then that sort of confirmed there was some sort of agenda on his part or paranoia.
So it wasn't aimed at you WellWell. I welcome any views on here but am slightly sceptical when some poster/s decide to continuously push their agenda, or indeed post information that is totally wrong for example weather forecasts. So as others have said, all, if the Cap Fits wear it, if not ignore the post, move on or feel free to filter me.

There will be ESV on each riser as it comes into the turret, which can be operated from the CCR or in the turret itself. But you are correct, they will not open the subsea valves until they are about ready to receive hydrocarbons on board. IMO

My tuppence, Nigwit tried for whatever reason to disrupt this board. Personally I avoided any argument with the guy, but he put my name on a list with others threatening to report us to the FSA and other accusations about conspiring to manipulate etc. I though that was way out of order and overstepping the mark. Not sure the reason he was overtly negative here or aggressive to othershare holder though but something changed from the investor (NigWit) that I used to communicate with by both phone and email a couple of years ago. - I find that some people who have lost huge amounts on shares through leveraging tend to blame others on the boards for their decisions, although I am not saying that was the reason in NigWits case.
He did appear to be losing it this last couple of weeks with some post verging on paranoia. If he has decided to take a break then it is the right decision and I hope he seeks and gets any help that he needs. If it was a ban then the break will hopefully do him some good and despite his threats to myself and , I wish him well.
Maybe a lesson to others not to let the markets or those Boards take over your life and blur your thinking, health is more important than wealth everyday of the week.

Yes abosuletly possible. Not sure if they will have to do the trial run before flaring. The may want to, or there may be some regulatory requirement that they need to do a trial run before taking any hydrocarbons on board, either way it will happen if it hasnt already happened IMO.

Ak, although the AM will always bunker water and diesel from the supply vessels, they will not be set up to take anything from the AMs cargo tanks. This will be done through the offloading hose and to a tanker. IMO

New week and a day closer to them opening the taps. This is week 6 rinse hook up which most thought would be about right for finishing commissioning the AM. I also wonder if we will see an intraday RNS once they open the taps, before the pesky flare watchers get a chance to tell their mates and load up their IG accounts for a quick 5-+10%.

I only logged on a couple of times yesterday and wished I hadn't bothered and that was in work time. You guys that have spent all weekend searching for articles to prove or disprove others views really need to get a life, or at least a reality check.

I speak to people that work in the industry and on FPSOs on a daily basis WoS, some who are fully aware of the Hurricane project, others not as much so. The general feeling is that the industry is waiting to see, if the model proves correct then the GLA and GWA will be an industry changer, but it is very much wait and see. (Bob Dudley also said as much at last year's oil conference). I fully understand the risks and rewards here and couldn't give a monkeys really if others think I should have more or less of Hurricane shares in the portfolio. Nor do I really care what others are holding or not holding.

Thanks LongWait. That was released when th Oil price was $50 a barrel, and before Halifax was awarded and before the EPS was funded, before the AM was hooked up and before the price of oil went to where it is now.
