I am cautiously optimistic based on this presentation.
My comments this morning on the Operational Update were too strong and I rescind them: sorry, Amerisur team. The frustration is that it would be good to have a really comprehensive update on each field and not just those producing.
OBA is good news: hope volume can be increased.

I meant an update of works on the as yet non-producing areas as well.

My mistake: apologies everyone. The notes to the notice for the AGM set the crest and proxy deadlines as 9.30am on the 10th.

The fact that this was released at 11am, after the deadline for crest and proxy votes may suggest that Giles Clarke has survived as chairman in the votes received so far. I suspect had he been short of votes, that a rather different RNS would’ve been released.

Also in previous years proxy forms were attached to the notice of the AGM, but not this year. To undertake a proxy vote this year, one needed to register at Signalshares.com. An investor code (IVC) was required to do this. Of course, I have no idea what this is as I buy my shares via my online broker. So I had to ring my broker to get the vote in via CREST. I suspect (but can't prove) that this is all deliberate on the part of the BoD: making voting difficult and not revealing the results of the vote on each resolution, helps them shore up their extremely precarious positions.

Quite right, JTD: we’ll done for encouraging us all to vote. I’ve voted against remuneration and Clarke and in favour of everything else.
I do hope I might meet some of you next week at the AGM.

Hehe! I did mention the AGM might be a bit like an old Eurotunnel meeting. I'll be there, hoping to avoid any flying furniture.
My preference would be to keep Wardle, ditch Clarke and Harrison (especially Harrison - he can't even get the accounts right). Also take a good look at the NEDs. What is Alex Snow's value add for instance?

I'm a bit of a stuck record on this, but we need an aggressive COO who will challenge Wardle and a CFO who is operational, can manage more than double-entry bookkeeping, and can talk with authority to shareholders across the range of issues: that isn't just the opportunities in the field, it is NPV10s and other metrics, execution set out clearly (and deviations from plan) and COST MANAGEMENT. I hate going caps lock, but it hardly ever gets mentioned here and it kills our op profit.

I'm sorry to hear you won't be at the AGM, pickedpeck, as we need as many as possible of the sensible and thoughtful people from this forum to be there.

HZM a bit too early stage for me, but an interesting play: I shall follow it, now. I'm an SLP man, in metals (for what it's worth).

Anyway, back at the ranch(!) I agree with you on AMER re consolidation and also with Roth1 that the Indians would be on the shortlist of acquisitors.

I also agree that the AGM motions on remuneration and options should have hands-in-the-air against and that a buyback could prove supportive to the price (though, as CD has recently pointed out, the II selling continues to be rather hefty).

Finally, you're completely right that oil is here for a while yet and if the AMER fundamentals look attractive enough, the idea that either significant II inflows or an acquisition wouldn't take place is ill-founded.

I share your frustration, Choppy and Roth1. I think Colonel Drake’s excellent posts over the last couple of days explain what’s going on with the share price. I’m hoping sentiment changes on positive news. We’ll all have to be patient that’s for sure.

The AGM may have a flavour of old Eurotunnel shareholder meetings, given the current mood.

Any ideas on why we seem to never see such reports, anyone? Surely some thresholds are being crossed over the 3% de minimis?

I’ve been surprised at the lack of RNSs in respect of significant holdings and thresholds as well, Colonel.
