Yes, thin sands can contain huge volumes, but the key success criteria for thin sands is good poroperm characteristics. If the poroperm is not so good, you will have to either 1) significantly increase the number of production wells, or 2) drill more expensive high angle wells, in order to increase wellbore exposure to the thin sands.

Look closer to home …… the UK North Sea is now considered one of worlds most politically and fiscally hostile places to invest! Difference is that Ethiopia is encouraging new investment in a fledgling industry!

DUSTER is oil field drilling term for an exploration well that encounters no hydrocarbons. Don’t see how that applies here, the helium has already been discovered here!

Shearclass - I have been thinking along similar lines, and if this is the issue, then I think it is realistically resolvable on terms amenable to PAT, GOI and Owais.

Owais are prepared to forfeight 65.3% royalty - that is a given.

GOI don't want to be sued for $billions, but I suspect they would be prepared to share a percentage of the royalty with PAT! GOI get to dodge adverse reputation issues on international stage, and still make a tidy sum in the process.

Someone smarter than I can play around with PAT share price forecasts if PAT got 5%, 10%, or 20% Royalty share.

The Company is always exploring potential strategic options in relation to the future development of the Zanaga Project and regularly engages in early-stage discussions of this nature but is not currently in active discussions around a transaction of any nature at this time.

The publication of the Company's 2024 Feasibility Study cost update in March 2024 resulted in a number of potential strategic partners engaging with the Company to better understand the Zanaga Iron Ore Project. These discussions remain at an early stage and there can be no certainty that any transaction will materialize.
