I really wouldn't count on RR winning the B52 contract, the US is now very much in "manufacture at home" mode and the current incumbents in this deal are Pratt and Whitney, based in Connecticut a Democrat state, RR facility is in Indiana , a Republican state and GE have a number of factories mostly in southern USA, republican territory. So , pork barrel politics being prevalent in the USA, P&W are hot favourites IMV, despite (or perhaps because of) being asked to tender a newer, more modern design than their original offering.RR's best hope is that the contract isn't signed until after the next election , which is very probable ,and a Republican win which is possible, my experince of Military contracts (in my case for IT solutions ) is that they are time consuming and interminably long. my best guess would be that the B52 deal will not be signed for several years and won't be generating profits for whoever wins for almost a decade . Thus , conclusion: irrelevant to the RR share price for a long, long, time and not factored in.
