Beo rightly or wrongly I always take a view that the vast majority of these daily moves are purposely designed to wear people down so stock (and wealth) can be transferred at a discount from normal impatient PIs like us to ‘professional traders’ that are using millions of pounds worth of computer software, as well as billionaires and hedge funds that will just sit on stuff for 10 years+.

The only reason things have been a bit exciting here is because of Trump! Otherwise these shares tend to just drift around based on sentiment until financial figures are released each quarter and re-adjust. A opportunistic gift to get a bit of extra value and excitement because of the orange man. But it’s not like AIM where every 2 months they are saying how great things look and every time someone ties their shoelace, everyone gets excited, followed by a placing 🤣.

James the most ‘reliable’ or ‘inside’ person (allegedly) who posts on here said the accounts would be done and dusted by the beginning of last week and they aren’t coming until before the end of June (and may be later than that still), so I’m not sure where you have heard ‘rumours on the street’ of a new bidder or how you could think that is any more than a hopeful dream at the moment. It’s a bit like your conclusion that the offer would be at least £1, or icecool as conclusion that the board is going to be replaced and a £3 recovery is going to happen. As things stand the accounts won’t be published until July and they don’t have a single offer other than what’s at best, a hint, that they might get an offer of 35p with some cash thrown in to cover a big black hole of missing money.

Do you think there is more or less chance of getting the 35p offer through now the can has been kicked to July? Surely it’s getting to a point where by the time an offer is formally made, voted on, possibly renegotiated, voted on again it will be next year.

Most of these financial reports are like reading the racing post or horse tipsters before/after a race, some are better than others but none can predict the future.

Problem with the media is that they just fit a story around the market price and not the other way around, they don’t tell you anything you couldn’t google and come to a conclusion yourself on, anyone who would actually be worth listening to is no doubt on a yacht somewhere very warm with a couple of 10s from every continent looking after their every need.

I’ve not been keeping an accurate running total of buybacks but I think around £30,000,000 of the £100,000,000, there are 49 trading days left to complete the full amount. At the current price that means they need to buy back approx £1,400,000 per day (others may have more accurate figures).

Hmm looks like the doom and gloom from yesterday has been put off now trumps tax bill has gone through putting more money in Americans pockets to “spend spend spend”, bonds easing off, Dow up 200 points since FTSE close and Nike another 1%, of course there is still another 2 hours to go so still time for another pullback, wonder what excuses we’ll get if it does, trumps haircut?
