I think we should be more worried about what is going on in Ukraine than about our shares. Putin is going to murder thousands and thousands of innocent people and threatens world peace. The western world has to be very careful not to get dragged into this, otherwise we will all find ourselves at war! In the meantime, we've all lost money but we knew this could happen, and if it hadn't been war, it could have been a market crash caused by inflation or something else. We've all had our own strategies, some have been LTHs (me) some have traded etc and if it hasnt worked out well for us so far, we just have to accept it. The way I see it is that fundamentals remain the same so when this is all over the SP will recover. Let's all just hope Putin doesn't have aspirations beyond Ukraine! Oh just as an afterthought...there's only one muppet in my opinion and that is Putin!
£3m shares sold and nearly 5m bought, but still the shares drop 9% even after all the good news delivered in results today. Normal economics of supply and demand dont seem to apply here so I have to agree that MMs must be manipulating the price. Are they shorting the shares themselves as Englangder seemed to suggest they can do?
Richard... clearly the analysts are optimistic that we will deliver a good number of valkyries this year to have arrived at an AVP of £211,000. So that's good to see, but like you, I'm surprised at their pessimistic wholesale figures. I would have expected to come close to these figures even without the DBX variants. I think we can expect to be comfortably north of these figures. We will find out more in 2 days time :-)
Hi Doit. I'd assumed he was banned as soon as I saw all his posts had been deleted this morning... it is so frustrating. We really need someone like him on this BB who has the knowledge and spirit to compete with the relentless negativity from C26. LSE didn't seem to object to him posting on Saturday and Sunday so perhaps he could become a regular weekend visitor??
All of Englangders posts have been deleted already so he must have been banned! Seems totally unjustified to me. Is this due to previous ban or because he knows too much about how things work? Whichever the case, it's wrong and he should be reinstated.
The only share certificates I hold are as POA for my 91 year old mother and the certificates are about 40 years old lol. I sometimes wonder how on earth we would prove what shares we own if platforms became corrupted.
Ha ha ha...you're doing brilliant mate, I'm impressed. They will try to press your buttons at times though, but you just have to remember that's what they're trying to do so that they can report you. They don't want people with your knowledge on here, it screws with their agenda.
I'll second that post from Son of Swiss. Its been great having you back Englangder. More sense spoken this weekend than we've had in a long time and you're more than a match for C26. Just make sure you don't allow him and his cronnies to wind you up this time (-;
Englangder is reminding me that a couple of weeks ago Invesco increased their holding by 5 million shares. That's about £60,000 000 worth. They are the biggest institutional holder. What I don't understand is the shares didn't move! If we get another one or two big buys from institutions following Wednesdays results we may get the upwards movement we're all waiting for.
53.75% owned by insiders
30.57% owned by institutions
That only leaves 15.68% of the shares in private share holders hands. All we need is a bit more popularity and the shares aren't going to be available. The squeeze is coming :-)

Yea, this and the F1 team is Stroll's Swan song and he's not going to be embarrassed by it failing. No, he the man who is going to make AM great again. And when it is, he's going to be covered in glory and that will be his legacy. That's what this is all about - he will always be remembered for making AM great again and that's not a bad legacy for him and his family! Yea...what a life he has...what most mere mortals like us just dream about. Long may it last, so he can continue to have fun building our company lol.
I agree that C26 knows his stuff, no question about it. It's just a shame he hates Stroll with such a passion resulting in a bias against the company. He could be such an asset to this BB if he had a bit more balanced view. Mind you, regardless of his feelings to Stroll, he still loads up just before results day lol. And I can guarantee that he'll be fully loaded when the SP start to turn, which it will do soon.
Like you say Englangder, car companys do turn around. AML has now got a top class leadership team, financial backing from a group of billionaires, world wide advertising from F1 and a pipeline of top class cars being produced. It already had a world class Brand name to build upon...I can't see it failing and I don't believe Stroll and his cronnies will let it fail.
You're bang on the money Englangder. C26 hates Stroll, he's said so on a number of occasions. It's character assassination at every opportunity. There's absolutely nothing Stroll can do that is right in the eyes of C26. Maybe C26 was one of the early AML casualties when Stroll took over? You may remember when C26 first started posting, he said that he couldn't say too much about his background otherwise we would would guess who he was. Someone even thought at the time that he was Palmer. I think he feels wronged in some way by Stroll, which explains all the unwarranted bitterness to Stroll and AML.
