Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Can anyone (KeithOz perhaps?) explain the significance or not of the following from the RNS?
"This suggests the B1 Conductor may have been emplaced by an as yet unspecified intrusive event and is unlikely to be formational."
Very exciting news! To find out the recent silence was due to not having reached target depth, and new data shows the conductor is even stronger than first thought - Merry Christmas!
Raspberry or strawberry coulis, I believe.
Oooof. Wasn't expecting such a fall today. I suspect no RNS now until the drill team pack up for their holidays.
That's what I recall too Suggins.
Nice. That's quite a turnaround.
Btw did anyone notice a brief comment from Ben that cores have gone for testing? I'm sure I heard it during one of last week's interviews.
JP2000: Fear of missing out.
Jdough: fomo is happening ;D
Exactly Ella, that's where I was coming from. For context, Ben starts talking about Proterozoic from 4:36 on that video. Of course, the Karoo is mentioned as a target too.
Thanks for the links Keith. If tenor tends to be relatively constant within a given ore body, as stated in the first article, and KSZDD001 has found "minor nickel values" in the Proterozoic(Kavango tweet 16th Nov), do you think this has any bearing on the likelihood of finding significant nickel deposits in KSZDD002?
That looks to be the one Mordi.
From Kavango's Twitter: "There is a 30 year old theory about what the Great Red Spot might be (in the public domain from back in the day), which is something we are looking at now. Core samples possibly support it. We’ll update when we’ve completed our analysis."
Has anyone found this 30 year-old theory? I've been searching, no joy yet.
I wouldn't read anything into it beyond general interest. We could have a long wait for assays. Would be nice to know what's going on with the drilling though! The silence makes me think they must have faced some challenges along the way.
My interpretation of the Twitter talk: the Proterozoic drilling has prompted a rethink on strategy from Kavango. The data they're getting from the deeper hole has potential to add massive value to the KSZ.
Thank you for all these contributions. Some really useful information from everyone.
FK, would love to hear your thoughts on the new Stockbox interview with POW on this very subject.
This relates to a question that bugs me as a KAV shareholder (I'm not invested in POW btw). I'm aware Kanye will be an asset for Kavango, but I don't understand why the IPO is necessary when, as far as I recall, all the talk was of Kavango drilling the KCB and the IPO coming later. If it happens in that order, won't Kanye shareholders be benefitting from Kavango expenditure?
