Thanks Catbert, I agree with the above - it was an interesting post. As a holder I hope you're wrong too because I'm in BCBs boat - underwater. All this talk of Olympic Dam makes me queasy, because it sounds like the patter of a used car salesman. I bought into the Norilsk hype, and this year's activities are making me question how we'll attract a serious business partner. A man is judged by the company he keeps, qui se ressemble s'assemble. BT has talked a lot about shareholder activism. Maybe Kavango needs some too.
JP2000 - did Mike Moles actually pay £400k cash @4p? Do we know this for a fact? It would be very reassuring if we knew that was definitely the case.
I wonder if the 'independent survey' will be on a par with the recent independent valuation report.
Spot on TK95 (x2). I see the penny still hasn't dropped for some. Admittedly, it took me a while because I didn't want to listen to the naysayers. Let's see when the drilling starts.
"We plan to increase our knowledge through drilling in H2 2022." How about saying "we WILL drill this year, and it's going to commence xx/xx/22."
I don't believe they will drill the KCB this year. There were vague suggestions of it starting a full year ago. So until a timeline is published, saying exactly when they intend to drill, I don't see why any LTH would feel motivated to add, even at these prices. The dealmaking with POW has made me even less inclined to buy more shares, because I'll be getting even less for my money. There are so many other opportunities out there. Let's see some action.
Wow, that's amazing. I wanted to invest in them, but I have too much tied up in KAV, a company that isn't drilling the KCB.
Thanks for the info JP. Love the optimism Boaty, I agree.
Anyone here who can enlighten me on potential costs to drill the B1 conductor and GRS in one go? Does Kavango already have access to a drill that goes deep enough, or will it have to be sourced? I can't find it now, but there was a moment in a recent interview where it sounded as though the door was being left open to the drill happening next year, did anyone else think that?
Ben says in the video they have the fire assay results from Ditau. I guess he would have elaborated if there had been an obvious breakthrough?
Yes Legalwolf, a target date for drilling B1 would be nice. Can't see how a worthwhile JV can be formed without drilling the target and proving the theory first.
Hard to believe it's been a full year since I was first excited about them drilling B1 and getting a rig to the KCB. I think this report is a good thing, and I also think it is healthy to have some scepticism. Good thread, I appreciate these discussions, despite my sense of deja vu.
Metalhead, I wouldn't read much into "hmm, what am I allowed to say" comments from Ben, he's used that turn of phrase (or similar) before. As for the JV with a major, I don't buy into the idea there's something significant going on in the background. Those discussions will come when KAV makes a discovery. I just hope the money doesn't run out before we reach that point.
I don't buy into the idea there's a confidentially clause. Ben is quick to share core photos when they look 'interesting.'
Good point, I've noticed too. Can't remember the exact tweet, but it was along similar lines.
For any non-Twitter people, Ben has been responding to some comments there: https://www.twitter.com/Ben_Turney
Those cores look great JP. No idea what I'm looking at, but they do look very pretty. There's a lot going on.
BCB, F79 & Metalhead - look forward to hearing your perspectives, that's if you're not too busy enjoying the awesome weather this weekend!
I'm surprised there hasn't been more comment about the presentation on this board. I thought it was excellent, and answered some longstanding questions, as well as providing us with some tantalising new info.
This presentation has generated zero excitement in terms of share price.
Some interesting info about infrastructure, thanks for posting the link.
