i thought they had been paid - and it was just waiting on the decision to see - cos potentially if abdx lose and they have to pay some back...though it is not a big amount

joe - the contract was not meaningless....it was just not understood...
colin got all excited and got his crayons out but there was no minimum and didn't even realise that it had expired until a month after.
i have read the contract - heavily one sided in gov's favour. personally i don't think odx have a leg to stand on. firstly how can you take a pre production payment when nothing was produced.
odx jumped the gun - not understanding the finer points they employed a lot of staff in readiness - but could not legally do so with gov money. i understand why- if they had started produiction and failed to deliver the goods on time there were penalties...but they could not claim phase 2 expenses until phase 1 was completed.

what the gov did was morally wrong but in my view odx were incompetent in the legal aspects. it is what does not give faith that they now "think" they have a case

yes...and so it is not new to him...he has had considerable time with the product...and yet they are still predicting losses for the next two years.....and then some miracle happens and it will turn profitable?

ummmm.....sure

the only reason it may have been profitable in the past (against the cost of sales rather than total outgoings) was that they could share out overhead expenses amongst the other divisions. first year it is on its own...or in the words of the bod - "they can focus solely on it" and it is predicted to be running at a loss...and the next year as well.
now that the true cost ie cost of sales and overheads are counted it will not be profitable

an actual reading of rns - shows a company that has missed 2 of its set targets for releasing accounts...sold all the family jewels so nothing else left..and completely muddied the water over kenya trial. oh and they talk of cracking usa - which is easier said than done.

Though gov dispute is an obvious worry and one that could hit sp. For the record I think odx will have to pay some if not all back. If so then that accounts for their cash in bank until the £4m or part of it gets transferred.

The next news will prob be the £4m ...if ( and I say if as still not guaranteed ) it goes ahead it should give a decent lift off.

i have explained how i believe £4m income could potentially raise the SP to 4.5p....which is a market cap of £10m...how do you think an extra £20m will suddenly be added on a company that is predicting losses and having to use its cash in bank for the next two years?

and that is with ignoring the elephant in the room that there are zillions of shares waiting to be off loaded

not possible to tell how much the market has priced in the potential £2.5m bill for money already received whilst no production ever took place,

one thing you can guarantee with AIM is that bad news always get punished heavily, if you believe having to pay back will not cause a massive drop you are either deluding yourself or others.

i am guessing the £1m to whatever unicorn fairy poo valuation the rampers are trying to peddle is not priced in though? eh?

be very careful of any one ramping share to 12p. they want newbies to buy so they can get out

once the £4m is received that will be the end of any more income from CD4 etc. Income will solely on sales - and the company has predicted losses for the next two years of £0.5m and £0.3m respectively.

Also at any time odx could be made to pay back the dhsc. paying £2.5m will be in effect a 25% drop if the £4m gets added to the mcap to make £10m..or in other words a drop of 1.125p on 4.5p

finally a good news RNS for ODX. Though not over the line it looks promising.

if /when the £4m comes through - this could lift SP to 4.5pish by my back of fag packet calculations.
unfortunately this will come in to the territory where the bucket shop flippers will be gagging to exit - they expected to be long out of this with their initial cash and just gambling with their safe as houses additional warrants.
so price will dive to 4p - where they no longer can sell at a profit.

fakey2 will more than likely be out at profit from his trade price of 3.5p - though no doubt be shouting hold for gold or something similar to make sure he gets out before anyone else

gizmo - interesting points. i think the gov have muddied the water with covid - it was vital to test and have precautions now its nothing........move along nothing to see here.
ncyt have covid portfolio - maybe they should try and sell more- but they certainly need to be looking at progressing non covid portfolio and no reliance at all on covid
