Unfortunately I can't really make a constructive contribution to the sometimes overwhelming mass of information that appears here but I do appreciate it. I did enjoy seeing my GGP turn green however, even if it was only for a day. I'm considering topping up Monday if the SP remains low but a tad concerned about keeping all my eggs. (well, most of them), in one basket.
Keep up the good work all!
As a complete layman I Just wondered on the maximum capacity for Newcrest's mining capabililty.
For instance, Once they have got stuck well and truly into Havieron, would further finds from Scally et al be sitting there waiting for Hav to be depleted, or can Newcrest input further capability to get subsequent finds mined. If so is there further capability beyond that?
Yep I'm a total newbie and like that they don't charge for trades and their web portal and app are both very good (in my very limited experience). They only have around 2000 companies on board so yes the range is very limited which is ok for me at this stage though I'm sure as I become more established I'll move up to something more expansive (and probably expensive).
Before I start, I have every faith in this company and am excited for the future. I'm trying to understand though what might be affecting the current SP trend for GGP. Out of curiosity I entered 'Gold' into the search engine of my broker Trading 212.
Of the 27 results, 1 showed 'n/a, 25 showed growth and were green, and GGP was the only one that showed a loss over the day.
I almost broke even at the start of the day but sit currently at £142 loss.
I know in the grand scheme of things this will (hopefully) be small change and I'll wonder why I was ever concerned but I'm just trying to rationale the current trend.
I know I'm probably just being a little impatient but green is a colour I'm seldom seeing in my portfolio at the moment and it would just perk me up nicely if it were to lose it's red hue.
I'm in awe of the depths of information you guys impart on this board.
I mostly lurk and can certainly not contribute constructively having first deciding to delve into the dark world of shares just about 2 1/2 weeks ago.
I just wanted to show my appreciation of all your efforts (though of course I appreciate they are not for my benefit) and look forward to learning more as time goes by.
Speaking strictly as a layman and gold newbie, I would think that the 70/30 deal in NCM's favour has already set the precedent from which future negotiations would be based.
Maybe GGP could negotiate a few more percent but I'd be surprised if it was significant.
