I'm in at 23.6p but my real average is somewhere around the late 13ps. I sold and bought back in twice... once to shift my investment to ISA and once during the big dip last year. I made a small gain but decided that the stress using T212 is not worth it so just hand sitting from now on.
It's why I don't try to trade GGP on 212. Did it once, made a small gain but was a nervous wreck during it. I've found the same for some other stocks too and found that a either doing a limit buy of just above current price or changing the amount of shares you buy to value instead seems to help.
"I cannot understand why 212 are not prepared to transfer your shares to IG. It is a simple matter. It may be their rule but what is their reason for insisting on a sale and then a transfer of cash?"
Probably because they want to earn their money from the sell spread.
I actually think it's done amazingly well on the recent drops. Especially so with the bombshell that was GH handing over the reins. That could have been a catastrophic dip but it held it's ground admirably and the fully expected dip was only short lived.
Yes it will have dips in the future but holding firm will see you right in the long run.
I just think it's part of the drive to gobble up shares. No coincidence that a few mins after his posting, the bid rises. Any that be unnerved may think it's a good opportunity to sell up thereby missing all of the golden opportunities still awaiting us.
Ignore and filter.
I'm hoping that even if it does spike, the pull back won't be as severe as last time.
Last time the MM's had to make up at the last minute for the mistake made in the GDXJ calculation. This time they've had plenty of time to prepare. That and the possibility of Scally news dropping at any time.
Is this enough money to finance a mining operation at Scally? I appreciate that it will take a while to get off the ground and by the time further funds are needed then we should be reaping benefits from Hav being mined but can we start putting everything in place? How much does it actually cost to start a mine?
My shares are going to be a major contribution to my pension pot and I was looking to hold for 2-3 years before selling.
Having thought about it though, unless there is a major news event detrimental to the SP at the end of my plan then there is no reason to sell. I'll just top slice however much I need on a monthly basis leaving the rest to continue maturing. If I took it all out, I'd probably be tempted to reinvest it anyway.
Taking this a step further, is there any way that NCM find that they have over reached and decide not to JV Scally? Or, relinquish the Juri JV in favour of Scally if the results are what we think?
If either are the case then that will leave the play wide open for outside bids for JVs which could make things interesting!
Or is the feeling that NCM have plenty of resource to take on whatever GGP have to throw at them?
Copper am, GH clearly said in the AGM that the Scally assays are due by Christmas or shortly thereafter. This could potentially mean sometime in January. It's nothing sinister, the labs are just working their knackers off to process the tons of information that the various drilling companies are sending. I think most here are pretty convinced there is no way Scally is a Duster. What it does contain we shall have to wait to find out.
