I think this is very positive. At one stroke get rid of a low profit operation, no capex, and pay down debt. I think the BOD knew this when forecasting for 2020.

Good to see some agitators at work. Personally, I'd like to see the grand strategy laid out with some dates or specific targets.

Seems to me that the growth forecast and POG should give the opportunity for a div increase.

One has to assume FO has reached a critical stage and there's a risk of info leaking out. B well hope so!

I've just bought in. The fundamentals persuade me. If gold holds this price the divi will be increased, so will the SP.

My understanding is that the BOD are steadily de-risking/increasing the portfolio of assets and that there is an inbuilt assumption that when the perceived value is sufficient a major will buy in or takeover Hurricane. Some way to go but there'a risk if the SP stays too low we will receive an unwelcome bid.

I like the vibs of TRG but worry about where the cash is going to come from in March to replace the bank support. A placing? That'll hit the Sp but from where else? Any ideas?

I have not sold. If the vote goes against, it will be because the big boys are staying in. I'm with them.

My take on all the hoo-hah is that many expected Hurricane to be a get-rich-quick opportunity with a six months horizon. In the event it has turned out to be a get-rich-slow opportunity with a two year horizon. This does not suit many, after all there are many undervalued oil companies to invest in. Result a selling blizzard.
Me, I'm in too deep to want to run. I shall wait and let Hurricane do the work for me. Unlike Amerisur, it has a BOD dedicated to getting the job done.

After all the fears and fluff, we've had a sensible RNS in a language I can understand. I'm not expecting a quick profit but my shares will stay in my bottom drawer until next year end when I believe they will be twice today's value. Meanwhile I always enjoy this BB and a bit of worrying stops boredom.

Look at the Director buying over the past year or more. At 19p they ALL make a bomb! No wonder they opted for a cash deal regardless of investors. Take a note of their names, guys

Seems to me that there's a fair chance that this so-called deal will not succeed. If thE PI's vote of circa 5% for No remains and River and Mercantile's recent purchase suggests they will also say No, it will only take 3 or 4 more ii's to block the deal. Would it be open to GeoPark to increase their bid?

On the basis that there is no more immediate news, it seems likely that the SP must drift lower since there are always sellers wanting cash or out, while most buyers will wait for confirmatory news before investing any significant amount. That said, if the price gets into the twenties I shall be buying as the value becomes absurdly high.

Agree, Casapinos. A sensible view. I have not sold and will not sell because I take a year's view on all this huff and puff. If I had been brilliant, I'd have sold when it was over 50p but I didn't so that's that. I'm in for the long haul but quietly confident.
