Literally hundreds of promises ended in failure to deliver.

DBX china only model 6 cylinder, has been dropped.. they are having to sell up old stock before launching new dcx 707 in china. No timeframe given.

Most DBX in US are old stock they need to get rid of.

This new guidance/operation realignment is largely focussed on the US and China

The group cites disruptions in its supply chain, weak demand in China, and efforts to smooth deliveries more evenly across quarters", the analyst points out, lowering its 2024/25 EBITDA guidance by 22%/16%.

This new warning reminds us that Aston Martin has a classic cyclical manufacturer profile, rather than a defensive ultra-luxury profile like Ferrari", adds Oddo BHF, which also highlights the British group's limited financial leeway.

In the first half of 2024, FCF was -£313 million, or burning through about £1.75 million per day.

End of June: £247m cash + £135m in new bonds = £382m but about £190m is customer deposits which need to be unwound.

£192 million would therefore be enough for 109 days or 3.6 months.

Mid October they will run out of cash at same burn rate.

The issue is in July they stated

“ Reiterating 2024 guidance, including positive Free Cash Flow in H2'24, and medium-term targets”

Now they’ve said

“ EBITDA now expected to be slightly below FY 2023 and no longer expecting to achieve positive free cash flow in H2'24.”

So it is showing incompetent unreliable untruthful management

Just made my first investment in a share such as AM, I have no knowledge of the company but one of my chums who eats , breathes and lives F1 everyday of his life and has done for the last 40 years has told me that Newey or whatever his name is would not join them unless there was some serious money being pumped in .

Who knows let’s see if he was right !

Q3 cash flow positive is still on track. Stroll said this just a couple of days ago. But you don't need to worry as your not invested. The newey signing to aston f1 does affect aml because his input will filter down into the road cars and he'll prob help design something even more special than the Valkyrie in the future.
