This is so misleading
How much does the debt cost now, compared to 2019?

Gone are the days of cheap debt, interest rates are rising and will stay high.

If you have to post every day, trying to shore up the price the more it drops, you're completely insecure in your holding, and completely biased in your 'assumptions'

Clueless investors pumping lies are dangerous, be warned.

Yup, 35% drop form the the TERP means it has to gain 55% to get back there, basic maths.
That tells you how little the market liked this RI.

Am pretty sure if TUI stop leasing planes they will save on the lease liabilities, but not make any profit.

Hexam, you obviously haven't learned much from investing in CINE at £1 and averaging all the way down, kudos.

Disagree - As stated in a post last week, I believe we've seen the low at £5.39, which was last Wednesday. Think from tomorrow and once the rights have ceased trading as of tonight, the SP will rise for the next few days, with next Tuesday's statement about the uptake and rump, also showing a positive light - believe strongly that the SP will move to £7 before the 24th April

Interest expenses: 129.5m

129.5 x 4 = 518m per annum.
Minus 80-90m saving from RI debt pay down (let’s say 85) = 433m

Unsure how many times I have to calculate this with links to prove what the actual company is stating.

Non-cash just means it's not paid from the cash account, but on the balance sheet.
The bottom line is the company themselves have said interest on debt is 410-430m
No amount of arguing can change what the company YOU ARE INVESTED in states the interest to be.

How are TUI going to pay their debt down when making losses?

Right now it's worth the exact same amount as it was before the RI.
I laid out all my calculations for everyone to see, plain and simple.
If you think otherwise, show us your figures.

"In the bank", are you actually for real? Can you read a prospectus?
All the money holders gave to TUI in this RI has been used to pay off debt, no more, no less.
The debt is still considerable, and costign the company 430m per year in interest.

If you can't uderstand what that means to profitiability going forward, then you need to educate yourself before you post any more unintillectual gibberish

If the company was so sure of making enough money to pay off debts, it wouldn't have had to raise 1.8bn in a rights issue.

Reducing the debt from 3.5 to 2.5bn.

(btw, at current price of 525p, the market cap is £2,664,012,923, same as it was beofre RI, ehnce why I said it is fair value)

You think a company should be worth 3.69 times what it was just because it reduced it's debt somewhat?
Interest on that debt is STILL 430 MILLION PER YEAR.

You might have got that re-rating if debt had been eliminated, but not when it wipes out a healthy profit of half a billion, EVERY YEAR.

Shareholders have been diluted 64% and you think the shares are worth 3.69 times as much as they are now.

I never trust any company that uses EBITDA:
Earnings look great, then you have to subtract Interest Tax and D&A to find out the real profit.
In TUIs case, you have to subtract 430m per year in interest.

Same boat as AML, too much expensive debt in a rising interst rate environment.
They need to raise prices to protect margins and sales inevitably decline.

TUI interest payments on debt are 430m per year.
They need to make a profit similar to 2018/19 just to stand still.
Shares look correctly priced to me.

Rampers saying £19 with 2.6x as many shares around are plain crazy.
