Nothing to really worry about here.

Very near term I think we all recognise this is the next catalyst/driver.If the announcement gives us anything like an 8-10% yield the stock will be pounced on by PIs and probably institutional income funds-of which there are many.What is a fair yield?I would guess something like 6% initially given the company's history and the fact we are on AIM.That gives us 13/14p.I am confident the announcement will come before the end of the month-that gives us 9.5 more trading days.

Any number of reasons:
-Fund redemptions.
-Had become too great a % of overall portfolio for internal risk parameters.
-Simply taking a profit into the rise.
I have no idea, but do not read anything sinister into it.

BBC says 2 weeks of national mourning (but as jsd71 says Govt and general life will go on) and his vice president Samia Suluhu Hassan will be sworn in for the rest of the term. As Magafuli's VP she will have been highly trusted and will probably continue with similar policies including encouraging badly needed FDI. How the Tanzanians will take a female leader though is anyone's guess-they are a scarcer commodity in Africa than even high grade graphite projects!!

Astro-I find timing of buys and sells impossible and almost always get my entry and exit prices wrong on any particular day. However, if you buy high quality companies with big potential you will generally be okay even if you mistime your purchase on any particular day. This is a high quality company and I believe should trade up to £10 on a 4 year view. If it gets there you will not care less if you entered at 179 or 199.I know it is frustrating, but don't worry too much about it.

On BBC Africa News. There will be several days of mourning, but his party won a huge majority back in October and a new leader will be elected from the ranks of his party. Agree with SeanT this should be a few weeks delay not months. Slightly increases the political risk here, but marginal in my view. Tanzania desperately needs foreign investment. Hopefully the new President takes a hard line on corruption.

At least we know what is happening, who is selling and why.Agree once this overhang is over stock should move up nicely.Good opportunity if you have cash.

James-I would be interested in your thinking here. I think Glencore because they are a strategic industry player. I do not know much about Orion to be honest except that they are a specialist mining investor. Obviously all speculation at the moment and time will tell.

Market cap is currently £119 million or US$166m.The cornerstone is $100 million or 37.5% of cornerstone total plus current market cap. They are either going to have to get the share price significantly up before the financing to avoid the cornerstone being over 30% or there are 2 cornerstones. I am convinced Glencore (with a publicly stated intent of getting more nickel exposure) will be involved. Who will be the other? Teck or an auto company? Remains very interesting.

All in all a good day despite a late selling spree-hopefully we can continue this trend over the rest of the week.

Yes agree-a bit of consolidation is healthy-but I fear it will not last for long. However, alot of people have made excellent money-especially the 20/30/40p buyers-cannot blame them for taking a bit off the table.
Eloro-re buying above £2-would prefer not to simply because I have a personal price target of £10 and want a 5 bagger!! Sorry not very scientific. I still want to buy 10k more shares, but do not have the funds presently so if I do have to pay over £2 so be it. Would be buying today if I had the bloody cash!!

...most of the sellers are now gone-recent volumes would suggest that is the case Expect plenty of newsflow ahead of final financing deal at end of H1,it would be good to get a head of steam up before the big announcement.

Does anyone on here have L2-it would be useful to get a daily picture on how the book looks. Grateful if anyone could post that please.

I am hoping he sells out completely before ESIA and Licence.I believe his shares have been bought largely by new investors and LT believers. The fewer loose holders into good newsflow the better in my view.
