Any sanctions imposed will be by western governments and NOT by BP.

Basically NO and i'll say it again NO sanctions will happen on Russian oil & gas exports.
Europe NEED Russian oil & gas full stop and they cannot just turn off the tap, countries like Germany and Poland will freeze to death.
Also most of Russia's oil & gas goes to China and they will not give a monkey's about any US sanctions.
BP at sub £4 with a rising oil price is a buy IMO.

Regardless of peoples personal opinion the country voted "FOR" Brexit and the elected government should have carried this out. At least Boris pushed it through!

Agree with you there and the LAST THING the likes of Germany are going to do is stop importing Russian gas, especially in the middle of winter!
And Germany isn't the only country, America imports oil & gas from Russia!
If anything happens the cost of oil & gas will skyrocket!

Yes it is but this is a benefit/safety net of using a credit card for large purchases.
I don't know how it would work in this case but the card provider can normally recall the money from the sellers bank. Obviously no good in a scam situation where they have closed the account and run!

Chill, no one wants this or any other board taken over with content which has little direct effect on LBG, but like most boards most subjects have been debated to death.
Yes inflation/interest rates give us new material but like most I'm here again because the SP is climbing, Covid SEEMS to have put the worst behind it and most importantly results are due in Feb!
We don't want this turning into "mumsnet" but just occasionally other subjects may be debated even though the direct impact on lloyds may be slight.
At the end of the day ANYTHING which unsettles the market will effect lloyds!

Major supplier of metals and this will be increasing as Nickel, Cobalt and Platinium demand soars due to climate change agreements.

I don't think the UK is much better, I believe about 50% of our natural gas comes in from abroad, although I think Norway supplies most of it.
