I'm afraid you're just showing yourself up as being poorly researched now.
Oil prices have risen for a number of reasons one of which has been the cutting of capex budgets by the major oil producers.
As demand increases this is beginning to show its hand.
But you do what you think is right and I will base my investment decisions upon research.

On the share price if an invasion did take place it would probably unsettle the market as a whole but it would also destabilise the oil market and oil prices could easily go through $100 a barrel.
Regardless of BP's Russian JV it still has some massive assets pumping millions of highly profitable barrels, Gulf of Mexico, Azerbaijan etc so it could well have a positive effect on the SP,
We will have to wait and see!

The thing is I just cannot see sanctions on Russian oil & gas, much of Europe depends on it, including the key player Germany.
China is also there biggest importer and they won't give a monkeys of any US sanctions.
In the worst case scenario BP's 20% JV payments will be blocked but this will only be until a resolution is found, similar to Irans payments from I believe the Rumm Field in the North Sea.
I think the press are just trying to sell papers with scaremongering.

Everyone has choices, it's trying to make the correct ones as you go through life.
I know people who went to Australia with next to nothing and succeeded, people who have moved in the UK, just quit and "gone for it"

Just had a little top up, not a huge amount but they all count, never thought I'd get them at this price and they have helped bring my average down slightly!

GGP's high was around 38p (Dec 20) so not far off a third of its high.
I'm very confident here, Paul seems to be holding something back, or he's a bloomin good poker player!
May well try a buy a few more today, haven't got much "free cash" at the mo but I will be kicking myself if I don't get at least a few at this price.

There is one simple reason why Russia will not do anything to upset the likes of BP.
BP and others have brought prosperity to many Russians, especially influential Russians, like they have done in places like Azerbaijan, Iraq etc.
And if there's one thing powerful people like more than power is money, lots of it.
Putin will NOT want to be the president that took Russia back to the Leonid Brezhnev era....

No, just go off BP's website, results and divi announcement 8th Feb.

Putin & Russia have issues my point is we and most definitely America is not that much better.
How can WE justify the deaths of at least 350,000 Syrians, a country we have been partly responsible for bombing the s.hat out of and yet we call Putin a "thug" for a sloppy assassination.
