I added to my portfolio, unfortunately on Wednesday rather than Thursday but still picked up some quality at discounted prices.
I will continue to hold here, which I've said previously but I just can't see this getting back to say 70p without a good news event to get the interest back.
Hopefully if they keep the buybacks going the reduction in shares in issue will drive the share price higher.... it bloomin should do!

Long term INVESTORS (rather than traders) follow the money.
Big profits, big dividends, lots of market interest, results in rising share prices.
Witness what's happening in the mining sector at the moment.
I'm not anti "buybacks", you know my history here.
All I'm saying, and assuming lloyds is under valued, there is a lack of market confidence.
Be honest here, before Covid and at the end of PPi / Brexit did you think "here we go, the futures looking bright"????

I'm out and on my phone so I cannot trawl through the fundamentals now and over previous years but from my memory Lloyds is stronger now than it was say 3, 4 or 5 years ago.
Now I know the SP has been all over the place over recent years but I SUSPECT the SP now is lower than the AVERAGE over those past years.
Ad I said I CANNOT confirm this now but if that is the case the share was either over valued previously or under valued now.
If as I believe it is under valued now and that the market sets the price that can only mean there is a lack of confidence.
I will look properly later when I'm home.

My point was I will check the date of decline against the PRA announcement.

I have been in this game for 35 years, I know how the market works.

If my memory serves me correctly Covid had sent the SP down to around 30-31p and settled.
Once the divi / PRA decision was announced it dropped down to around 23-24p
When I get more time and have access to my laptop I will check the charts against the announcement.
You believe what you like but the share price is depressed because there is very little confidence here.

Yes the markets sets the SP but the GOV/BoE/PRA cancelled the divi in 2020 and the SP fell through the floor....

If in the next couple of sets of results I don't feel that we're getting back to how progress was pre covid I'll sell out at 65p!
In fact probably less.
The government/BoE/PRA have really set this share back.

Sorry I don't want to go to far off topic but I do agree to some degree!
The problem with breaking up unions is that if it is voted for it results in massive change, companies make decisions on location and projects based upon multiple factors, tax, stability etc etc.
The "indyref" was carried out and as far as I recall there was always the intention of a "Brexit" vote being carried out and should have been considered by any "indyref" voters.
The Scottish voted to stay as a member of the United Kingdom union and investment decisions would have happened based on that result.
Brexit has obviously happened since and I believe Scotland had a majority "remain" vote.
So I can see where Jamtart is coming from but as I said the Brexit vote was always on the manifesto.
All I am saying is we cannot vote on something this MAJOR every few years because of the implications.
Ultimately I'm not that fussed whether Scotland wants to stay or go and maybe there could be another vote in a generation or two's time.

The problem is your talking of a "life Changing" or country changing vote which there's no going back from, like Brexit.
You can't keep voting and potentially changing your mind.
Can you imagine going through that Brexit farce every 4 years?
The "indy" vote was carried out, like Brexit but in that case it was voted against, we must move on.

Although I did not believe we would get the full amount back I did expect a special divi.

There was a statement made I believe ( I would need to find it) which I think said it was "our money" and would be returned, but I will look for it, sure it was made in 2020.
Also I believe the Covid loans were government backed so potentially there should be no risk to LBG.

I am not condoning any of what's going on at the moment but the deliberate American (and UK) inference, bombing, supplying arms in effect to issis has lead to the widespread destruction and roughly 350,000 civilian deaths.

Oil & Gas will be needed in the UK, and worldwide long after my demise, its not just cars, virtually every household boiler will need to be changed.
BP and others will need to change to remain an investment proposition long term, and many have started this process.
If BP plays this correctly it COULD lead the way in green Hydrogen production.
Many new boilers can already run on a natural gas/Hydrogen mix.
Buses and HGV's, also shipping will probably end up either burning green hydrogen for power, or using it in a fuel cell.
Hopefully BP has also recognised this opportunity!
