I would also like an increase in the return from the dividend BUT I also want a strong company.
Although oil & Gas will be required long into the future, BP does need to adapt if it's going to continue to grow.
BP could just carry on "as is" and ignore alternative forms of energy, or it can invest and either try to lead the way or at least have a strong foothold in the market place.
Household natural gas is a prime example. The long term intention is to start mixing Hydrogen with natural gas to reduce the Co2 emissions, Many new boilers have been designed to allow this to happen. Things like this and the growth of EV's etc will reduce our dependency of fossil fuels but will probably never eliminate it, but BP need to adapt so that we never see the days of a continually shrinking company, and SP!
I want to see the highest possible dividend but reduced debt, a reducing share pile and investment into green hydrogen either by starting it's own production plants or through beneficial M&A.
