AGL has never doen me any good and out ofthat one some time ago, but SOLG has given me lot s of opportunites of taking good profits. My current best performers are companies such as PDG, INCH, MNR beginning to show adn TAN. the builders BDEV and TW are performing well and HRG has given me my best results and i still believe I have more to come. All in all I am very happy withtheportfolio just now, some steady growth stocks, good receovery stocks and a some chancers. I really like the mix and the blue is showing much more than red

Had a look to see what price I could get onthese and don't seem to be able to get a price. Obviously this is not a heavily treaded stock but when did you last buy any of these?

I see you have been a busy boy today, some interesting companies and some I have never heard about. will have a look at them but I notice one or two of them are real gambles as they have been on long downward trends and could end up in theground, but I like a few ofthese inmy portfolio as they could also end up being double baggers. I notice "on the other side" you also like NTOG. That is one I have looke dat for some time and have some money in, don't really understand why it hasn't moved yet but as we have learnt with so many others patience is a virtue! As we have discussed before I have gine quite heavily into RBS now as well ,think we have heard theworse from them. at leats after the accounts which probably wont be pretty I think we have written off everything that could be written off and we could move forward. Was lucky enough to seel a chink of my barc on Friday and came into RBS and that seems to be a good move. Barc will recover but thepotential for higher growth lies with RBS and possibly LLOY. I appreciate what you ares aying but the debt has been knownabout for a long time, has coem down over the last year and is fixed for at least a couple of years. Yes, business travel is down but has reached bottom and is beginning to come back, albeiot slowly. The thing to remember is that they made profits last year whn it turned down very nadly and they hadn't yet adjusted tehir cost structure so they both had max cost and tooka charge of 6 million for getting rid of people. Also TMCs are not as abd off as airlines who make tehir profits on the business and first class passengers who have dropped themost. TMCs make their money from transaction fees which is down about 50% less than overall revenue. They may make only the same profit this year but that still should value them higher than tehy are now but the future looks very bright and with 2 big companies taking big stakes I am confident soemthing will give. It certainly is quite clear from recent traidng that 24 is a bottom that doesnt look like being broken

In some ways I feel (cant explain my feelings) that Radcliffe has been waiting for a bot of stabilisation in order tomake the final attack to take the company private again in a joint effort betwen management and DNATA which I still think is the favourite option. This quiet give him the chance to possibly negotiate with JVs, Dnata and BCD as the price is stable. Also he has proabbly been waiting till recession is over to get a better view of where they will be going in the future. Let's see what he says next week but as I said before it can happen any day and should double in value on the day of any announcement. I have very good profits in here and it would make sense to take some of them but in the case I can't see any downside so greediness is winning the day!! GL

a lot of rumours in themarket that CWL would take over the travel division of amex, but rumours are always circling inthis industry. It does make soem sense inthe fact that CWL took the decision to appoint Amex as their preferred card last year, so Amex might hope that they wouldnt lose on the card side. But they have never really made serious money from travel, the card division is much more importnat for them

Sorry havent replied before but been busy and as you say not much happening here so being focused on trying to make some money elsewhere, had a good day today on banks and builders. Still have all of my largest investment with this one and is seems to be taken a summer holiday and found a reasonable level. If you had asked me 6 months ago or even 3 months ago would ave been super supre delighted withthis level but obvioulsy we have seen the 30s so would like it to get back there but cant see it happening in the next month. This is the slowest time for corpoarte travel agencies and the first 6 months of the year has been tough but HRg is probably in thebest position to withstand the pressure and they have already reported and told taht things are on track. It is quite clear the bottom has been reached and people are hopeful that from September onwards those who had stopped travelling will start coming back although not at the level of 2007. HRG has adjusted their costs so I am very hopeful that we will begin to see even better results and a push up on share price. The AGM shouldn't give us any bad surprises but i can see Radcliffe being careful in his predictions, but just being on track for same profits will befine and the company is clearly undervalued at that level. I will not be selling even for a short period as I still think that something will happen on the ownership front and I will not want ot be out of shares the day o fthat announcement. Could happen anytime!

I do think RBS has absorbed nearly all the bad news that was coming it's way and this is now part of the price . I think we will see a break through 40 in the next couple of weeks and a slow climb towards 50. Theyhave had some time now to get the company back on track and I hope for muchbetter results and predictions for the future although they will still show a loss for this year. I have been very negative towards this share but now might be the time to get in, so I might use some ofmy Barclays profits here so I don't get over extended in the sector and Itink barclay although still agood share can't show the same growth as a rejuvenated RBS can

If I was David Radcliffe I would look at this weeks trading and if I ever was in any doubt that the market does not understadn this business and this company this would be added proof and I would increase my efforts to take the comapny back in private hands maybe in a jointy buyout with with DNATA. This must be enormously frustarting for the management to see the price drop like this without any reason whatsoever.

Not sure what is going on but results BA's announcement and today's AF/KLM has done it no favors. I have bought a big chunk now at just under 24. I am expecting taht one of the 2 big holders are rubbing their hands justnow and waiting to attack to buy a big chunk at much less that they thought they would, could happen any day now. Since I bought I ibviously think we are very clsoe to the bottom, absolutely no reason for the price to have dropped like this and turnover has been quite low.

a very goo dpush from this share this morning. It has shown good promise in the past but yet to find any announcement that has made this one move today, so might still be time to get on before any news comes out officially. Any one heard anything here, KIS, I believe this was one of your favorites some time ago

havent had much time to write but definitely still here, just topped up a abot at 25.40, totally unexplained drop and I dont see any reason for this so coudlnt resist the opportuntity

Not much to report, spent a few hors tehre and did some good business but didnt hear anything about HRG. They were no exhibiting but then I only saw 3 or 4 TMCs and only one big one CWL. From what I saw not great attendance and probably right that HRG saved their money and didnt exhibit. from the people i spoke to things still rough although a few more positive signs the last month, but it hasnt gone any worse business wise since February. MOst people think that once we are over the summer quietness things will pick up again in September for the period where HRG makes most of their profits.

he put 50 million in to it but said it wasnt to keep it going but to give trhem options to do what they wanted, i.e maybe invest in new acquisitions fo instance the one they made in Singapore. But I am sure that tehre was an element of strengthening th ebalance sheet as well. He does have many otehr interests and is one of Holland's rischest men as far as I knwo and if he wanted to he could buy HRG out tomorrow but I guess he didntget rich by not being rather clever as well. Even he at the end decided to sell his shares to DNATA or an MBO he owuld have made a killing. I would n't mind stitingat over 20% of HRg at the prices hepaid for the shares

I think BCD is suffering more than most in this period although van vlissingen still has plenty of money left. My guess is on tehmanagement buyout possibly in association with DNATA and possibly Artemis. DT is a very shrewd operator, knows what he does but Ithink thecity frustrates him and holds him back in doing a nd saying what he wants to. Time will show,any of them will do for me, would love to see it happen soon but let us get a foothold now over 30.
