My understanding is that the Share Issuance Programme runs for 12 months, so if I'm correct, the SIP is still active & will run until September 2021 (unless completing sooner). As you've rightly pointed out, less than half of the (maximum) allocation has been utilised, so I don't believe we'd need a new SIP to accommodate further acquisitions: there's still in excess of £500M available for issue should UKW think they can make good use of it.

Doubt it'll be next week. Final day for COMEX February gold deliveries is (I believe) next Friday. Expect the monkeyhammer to come out (again) next week. I'll sit on the sidelines for a little longer before I BTFD. I'd strongly suggest PM prices will be lower in a week's time simply due to COMEX.

Producer prices were also down: this maybe the main reason for the PM price drop.

US producer price inflation just came in under expectations. Silver getting brayed like a donkey (gold not quite so much). BTFD. I agree: there will be a silver shortage. Anyone know when we can expect the figures on global silver production for 2020? It's fallen for 4 years straight. No doubt in my mind that 2020 will continue that trend.

And that will be just the opening salvo. How much more will be needed for student debt forgiveness? The bidding starts at $1T. Then how much is needed for the insolvent state pensions??? I don't have a figure on that, but it must be magnitudes more. Another lockdown (of x length)? More $Ts.

One thing you can be sure of: during America's next lockdown, there will be no shortage of toilet paper.....people will just use Dollars.

And rumours of a 100-day lockdown. Biden has already promised "4-6 weeks" of lockdown, but a hundred days... :O

Sounds crazy, right? Look how far we've come (fallen) in just 10 months. New proposals (admittedly not yet law) could see you locked-up for stopping to talk to someone on the street. You can get arrested inside your own home for hugging a relative (we've already seen this).

Of course the "free markets" we are told we have are illusions. The price of bonds, ETFs & even (unofficially) stocks are all managed by the Central Banks (& their proxies). How can we have free markets when the very price of money itself (interest rates) & centrally & undemocratically managed by private, unaccountable institutions (the CBs themselves). Central Banking is one of the key planks of the communist manifesto. This is what the WEF will bring with their Great Reset: global communism / neo-feudalism.

And yes: I believe that, when they're ready, they'll pull it. All of it! They need to create a crisis so large that the people of the world will beg them for their solution. Remember: "By 2030, you will own nothing & like it". How else can the public be made to accept indentured slavery (rhetorical question).

COMEX is a paper market: it wears "delivery" the way a street walker wears jewellery & furs. She can do her job without them, but under it all, she's still just a *****.

We need to remember that just because the CPI says there's no inflation does not mean there's no inflation. Funny how the things we cannot do without (gas, electricity, etc) are only in the "Non-Core" inflation statistics. Wouldn't you have thought it would be the reverse?

Interesting observation that there is a regular smash to coincide with the US non-farm payroll report. That could be worth keeping an eye on if somebody wants to try to trade that.

Bullion banks remain hugely short! I've always found this ridiculous. How many other industries actually short their own product??? Conjures quotes from Gerald Ratner....

February is a big delivery month for COMEX gold, with final orders closing in less than a fortnight. No significant silver deliveries until March (with a late February cut-off). Knowing how THEY operate, I would suggest we could be in for a few more precipitous drops in the PoG: particularly during w/c 18/1.

I did make one trade in the midst of Friday's carnage: I picked-up Endeavour Silver just 1 cent above it's daily low. I remain a buyer of dips in the sector as a whole.

Silver getting absolutely ****-raped: no lube! WTaF's going on???

PMs now getting their second hammering of the day (anyone see the 3.5% crash in silver at precisely 8am? It lost 70p p/oz LITERALLY in 30 seconds), & all of the week's gains have now gone down the toilet. As recently as 7 hours ago I was looking at my second best weekly return EVER: now I'm nursing a weekly loss. This (so-called) market really does make me sick at times.

& silver just flash-crashed 3.5%. Anyone know why???
