The current crop of crypto currencies will find themselves outlawed: the Central Banks will see to that (don't forget one of the first things the BoE did upon its inception in 1694 was to get the government of the day to outlaw Tally Sticks (used as money at the time) so they could push their own paper currency).
Yes: there will be crypto currencies in the future, but they will be centrally controlled, just like the fiat currencies of today. Let's not forget that in the midst of the pandemic, The Cares Act (in the US), which was supposed to alleviate the suffering of the American people & small businesses, included a provision for "a digital Dollar to be stored in a cryptographic wallet". Just what has that got to do with helping the American people? As always, the ruling classes make hay out of every crisis to further their agenda.
Cryptos are surging ATM (particularly XRP & ETH). Enjoy the ride (as an ETH holder, I am), but I recognise there is ultimately only one REAL store of value.
