Some miners (First Majestic being a topical example) have on-line stores & sell direct to the public. Their bars are very nice, too. Like pretty much everywhere ATM, they're also sold-out. The more people who buy direct from the miners (& I appreciate that the choice is limited), the less relevant the phony CRIMEX price becomes. Picture the scene....
Guy sits down to breakfast in a restaurant: studies the menu.
"Are you ready to order, sir?", asks the waiter.
"Yes: I'd like the full English, please."
"That'll be £9.95, sir."
Guy, hands over a £10 note. Waiter hands him a picture of an English breakfast.
Guy, puzzled, turns to the waiter: speechless.
"Oh, I'm sorry sir. Did you want to take delivery of your breakfast? That'll be an extra £3.95."
"Paper is poverty. It is merely the ghost of money, & not money itself".
Thomas Jefferson. Wise Man. Taught Andrew Jackson everything he knows.
"Gentlemen, I too have observed the dealings of the Bank of the United States. I have had men watching you for a very long time & I am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, & when you lost, you charged it to the bank.
"You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank & annul its charter I shall ruin 10,000 families. That maybe true gentlemen, but that is YOUR sin. If I let you go on you will ruin 50,000 families, & that, gentlemen, would be MY sin. You are a den of vipers & thieves. I have determined to rout you out, & by the eternal God I WILL rout you out!"
President Andrew Jackson, addressing a banker delegation in 1832.
The ONLY president in US history to pay off the national debt....& he did it by killing the central bank.
Years later, when asked what his greatest achievement was, Jackson uttered four words: "I killed the bank".
You want price discovery? End central banking. That's a start.
