The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Sadly we lost a few speakers due to connectivity issues so my question couldn’t be answered by the remaining panel. May see a follow up email but not holding my breath. Hopefully, at the least, it has given some companies a little food for thought.
Adjusting topic slightly, I'm currently dialled in to a renewable energy webinar for Service leavers, which includes a number of renewable energy companies and other related stakeholders. There is much talk of future growth in the sector and a requirement to store energy. So, I've posed a question in the 'chat' re do we or are we considering future use of VRFB for mass energy storage. It'll be interesting to hear any answers (although we're running behind schedule so doubt we'll get to the Q&A.
Well said, Pilgrim. I grabbed a few more at this discount price.
It won't be alcohol that causes the lockdown; it'll be people not adhering to social distancing etc. Granted, applying alcohol to some people won't help. At some point these grown ups, who are old enough to go out and drink alcohol, need to be held responsible for their actions.
Agreed, this is a great price. Didn't get the bottom but happy with a top up at 1164p
Must agree, bassguy I took your post as nothing more than a light-hearted comment with intent to humour people. I'm surprised at some responses, but then I must remember we all have different opinions of what is funny/appropriate and what is not.
He predicted the SP would rise based on his analysis... he's right, fair play to him.
But then most of us were also predicting a rise given the strength of the fundamentals not matching the SP.
MB - a description worthy of a place in a Warren Buffet investment advice book ;)
mjga - I read the BB on 'Thread' view so wasn't aware you had apologised on another thread. Sorry for 'jumping the gun'.
mjga786 - It is widely understood with text/typed communications, that if you type everything in capital letters it is the same as shouting, so could be considered rude.
Well, I've bought in. I had been reading about a number of gold stocks and I wondered if it was too late to join PUR to make any money (I'm very much a small-scale investor). I thought I had more time with first pour not until December, but the recent RNS states they're ahead of the curve and the SP just seems to be climbing.
Sooty - I seem to recall a few weeks ago on the BBC Corona virus update, Sir Patrick Vallance mentioned antibodies and how it takes time to understand the extent of protection afforded, which can vary. To me, it stands to reason that for a relatively new virus (in terms of its impact on humans) the scientific community may not have all the data yet to state, with any confidence, the extent of protection afforded.
0.00p - I'm tempted to top up at that price.
It was merely my choice of how to interpret Simpletrading's post to suggest he'd suggested we'd reach 12p tomorrow.
For clarity, I don't actually believe he was suggesting that - I was merely messing with him.
Next time I'll use a smiley-winky-face-thingy.
12p tomorrow?!? Bl00dy hell I hope you're right...
... Can't see it happening personally though.
Genuine question - what can he do about it if the depressed SP appears to be down to the MMs manipulating the SP to suit their agenda? I agree release of 'fantastic' news may make a difference but if we don't have any to hand (and I'm by no means knocking the recent Final Year results) there is little the BOD can do... unless I'm missing something?!? Happy to be educated.
Maybe they will actually infirm you ;)
