Whilst there is no news to speak of perhaps it is important to give a little time for some banter - as you may have researched from the posts, some of us are at a point of having EOD so reliving the past can trigger the brain.

mangles - When researching family history I was surprised to see in the occupation of some women in the town as ‘owns a mangle’ . Seems that they actually scraped a living squeezing everyone’s washing. How things have changed - my poor Irish migrant family in the early 1900’s earned a living being oakum teasers - adults to toddlers. How they would have dreamed of owning a mangle.

There are lots of reasons people do what they do. In this instance we have a brief understanding of the offender. Hats off though to the members of the public who got stuck in then the risk was so great. It takes a moment of courage to react towards the assailant but also a moment of hesitation to become a victim. All too often people reach for their mobile device as this creates a shield of "I cannot really see this as it is on my device" or "I wonder how many likes and followers I get"

My past life saw many of the latter but fewer of the former. There is a mentality in all of us as an individual where we become scared of action, however, when one person takes a lead we become part of a team. Thankfully this was the case yesterday and the result was not as bad as it would have been.

I know it is nothing to do with BMR but it is close to my heart. Well done all involved - 5 minutes from call to the fatal shot is amazing and in such confusing circumstances.

Sadly on switching on the telly box today I saw another sad event. I saw enough bloodshed in my time and I had hoped we had got to grips though hopefully this is a lone wolf event though we had a run of such events last time around.

Very well done to those that tackled this man when danger was very much evident. With a group mentality we can overcome most terror incidents though only attempt such things if you are capable and willing to accept the risks.

fatal - Iraq is/was a totally different arena. Historically in all arenas of reconstruction post war and disaster, have seen the leeches pour into those areas and milk the systems dry. The Bahamas reconstruction post Dorian will have a similar number of willing 'helpers' to put it right.

Here we are not exactly a disaster scenario and they will get their pound of flesh once they have got BPC a hole under the water and hopefully a successful well. In my opinion anyway.

..and I know a lot of us have been here for over a decade, but the final dotting of the i's and crossing of the t's is underway.

The volume of shares traded is going to be a big indicator - 20 to 30 million a day will be a good start, 100 to 200 million it will be getting warmer - but let us not sweat over the small stuff. Plenty of little obstacles to overcome along the way, though I guess not insurmountable, we have to keep a little more patience, news will drop in over the coming weeks and months. Easier said than done of course.

Whilst no one knows what the SP could reach - there is no harm in having a personal prophesy of what it may get to. We can all have a dream.

Having said that I am not a fan of the guess the price game as it can lead to lots of insults and a tad of confusion for any newcomer to the share/board.

I note the rise for GKP though the charts shown here only rise to 2.99 - another share to hit the high notes and which got me interested here was DGO which was penny share (3p when I bought) then consolidated 25:1 before hitting over £1.20 before plummeting to well under 10p. After a 10 year wait the shares went through a buy back at £8 per share back around 2010. I had sold my 1547 shares when it had reached over £4.50 a share. Had I realised within months they would have got me £8 I would have been happier but at the time that rise was enough of a win.

So dreams can come true - but there have been more nightmares particularly with AIM shares.

Moral of the story is take the risk knowing you can lose it all - or take your money and run but never look back.

I do not think we will have much objection from the majority of Bahamians, though a minority may create some noise. The recent hurricane caused such a lot of damage to life and infrastructure resulting in the islands needing a steady source of income these days.

I doubt that very much JBT - just seemed odd that they are all sells bearing in mind there was a positive RNS
