were hit not too long ago by a massive storm. It will take several years to recover financially - and of course the people of the Bahamas rely mainly on the tourism industry which took a severe hit as well as destroying many homes.

Drilling for oil in the Bahamas now is very timely - it could be a massive boost to economy including jobs, building of sustainable housing both for the locals and for the infrastructure for the future that would withstand storms in the future.

The EIA is something that has been considered by the government and the company have not suggested it will be a big rock to get around. With the potential of riches for the islands I would guess it will be a walk in the park in my very humble and honest opinion.

Stpag - numerous reasons we are where we are, and assuming you did a bit of digging, you should have recognised some of the issues we lth have endured. We will know soon enough of course.

Some may recall I made a list of shares recommended as buys on this BB over the past months.
I played a fantasy £1,000 in each of them and current status on the £21k is Minus £3,492 and to be fair a couple have more than doubled so not all have been duds.

I think we can all guess about the take up of the open offer - however, there are too many brokers involved to get a truthful figure. On this board are only a small number of investors/traders. Who knows whether we cumulatively hold a majority of shares. One thing for certain though is we will know within a week where we are with the OO.

Are there are a number of odd requests for information appearing? ( I may just be too cynical ) There also appears to be some genuine questions too. It suggests to me that there is some increasing interest.

My Share.com account has deleted my cash balance and shows both OO and excess shares as being not trade-able presently.

I was a little concerned earlier today that they had not taken my instruction but I am happy they have.

Whilst not in the league of Jimmy Carr, Take That et al. I am so pleased we have the ability to take all profit tax free with the shares ISA. Not a 100% certainty I know but I have to admit a little bit of excitement is creeping in this morning. I can but dream ;@)

Whilst I would hope most people put another chunk of their hard earned into the open offer, this is not a dead certainty but as much of one as I have known. With directors and Shore Capital apparently willing to take up their share too, we should not have an issue getting the cash in place for the first well.

Exciting times ahead for sure, though yesterday, when Ferrari were to be sure fire winners in Mexico, anything can happen. Hold onto your hats will be the message next week and keep near a toilet just in case.

Of course you are correct in suggesting a concern as nothing is a dead cert other than death. Just have to be prepared for it.

That said, there has been an awful lot of money spent on the 3D seismics, the oil discovered there in the past as well as the finds already being pumped from under the seabed close by, so some of the uncertainty has been removed.

whilst there is no doubt the term there is a major in the data room, I do not know whether there is a tangible room with all the data or whether it is merely terminology.

What I am sure of is that I will be holding all my shares and those within the open offer and any more from my extra request.

In the past there have been comments about lack of updates from the company.

I can say that recently there has been a massive upturn in the amount of communication we are receiving for which I am very happy about.

Whilst nothing is a given in this crazy world in which we live, the sheer positivism in the messages given by the company gives me goosebumps. Why? Because this seems like the time I feel I may be rewarded for my continued support of the company.

Of course the first few words in my previous paragraph keeps my feet on the ground.

FWIW I just put in my application for full amount plus an additional 15%. Not a huge amount but will take my holding to 600,000. It would be a happy Christmas if we are guaranteed a drill.

betterupthandown - no mention of a 'holding since/from' date shown on the RNS - not sure whether that seems unusual or not. Though in the past only those holding between or since a certain date(s) were entitled to partake.
