Should we live our lives so cautiously?
We should, of course, take sensible precautions BUT we cannot let concerns RUN our lives.
You will all have seen the comedic sketches of safety wardens and I am sure we have all sat through numerous Health & Safety talks which can stifle any enjoyment in life.
We can and we will continue to drill - We will get the results of that drill by February 2021.
We could lose all our money - but being sensible human beings we had thought of that - On the other hand, we could become millionaires bejesus!!!!
As I mentioned before - Fred's Facebook posts are receiving very little traction; most have no comments at all.
He is an egocentric narcissist with delusions of grandeur.
As for the various negative Nelly links to the news that have been posted - they all seem to have a lot more positive comment than negative = so why do we think these people keep posting?
Ego, narcissm, or simply to fill the BB with comments of doubt? Any newbie looking in would be horrified.
Stay safe - stay happy in your bubbles and see you all happily smiling in the New Year. ;@)
Autonomy1 - and during those days or even weeks the drill on the Stena Ice Max will continue to turn and uncover lots of information for the team to digest.
'Partying during a pandemic': TikTok stars are slammed for traveling from LA to the Bahamas for a group vacation after telling fans to stay home to save lives.
Proso - aka Hypothetical Henry - perhaps thay should be your new name - like a Viz character. FFS man - all you do is wind folk up.
What if - maybe this, maybe that. People like facts - the majority here are aware of the risks, they do their research and all you do is search out the negatives that people ARE usually aware of and repeat, twist and post your own negative thoughts.
We are in a negative territory already, having had over a decade of ups and downs. We know about possibilities - we (holders of BPC shares are aware there could be billions of barrels of oil discovered. We are also aware there could be zip.
We are indeed aware that some creepy folk take pleasure in disturbing the peace on what used to be a decent place to share reasoned thoughts.
Of course, this is a public board and I can be free to filter you. Presently I await a post from you and the other doubting Thomas' about the numbers of positive about drilling comments on the various snippets of news you and they post versus the negative ones.
I did give a hint that the positive were leading, though as you are Mr Negative presently I though you may have been tempted to suggest otherwise.
So really, the majority of folk in the Bahamas are saying NOTHING about the fact BPC are drilling off the coast of Cuba but those that are appear quite positive.
Latest Trade today is number 53 timed at 1143
Trade number 53 yesterday timed at 0804
Robbla - he appears quite passionate to turn to outside of the country for the betterment of the local people.

Whilst not advocating oil drilling as such, President Bishop Delton Fernander pragmaticaly said: -
“I made a statement that when it comes to resources, period, we are watching and we believe we have reached a place where we must have better trained Bahamians who are well aware of the value of our resources — not only well aware of the value of our resources, we can do better now at having a return on those resources.
“And if we can do it safely with little environmental [impact] — and if there is going to be an environmental impact, the council will speak out as it did with the last oil agreement if you check your archives.
“But we need the information. We can’t just blanketly say that something is not safe if we don’t know what kind of processes they’re using to extract the oil.”
The planners in Sagua La Grande might be next on his hit list.
Heyho - another day when I might just disappear until we get an update from the court.
Quiet morning for the MMs today - just over a million traded on both markets up to now.
"Nothing to see hear folks, move along now please!!"
Yet another wind and p155 argument. The article again has no comments from either pro or against drilling.
I am still awaiting someone to calculate the pros vs cons.
I know the answer is far more pro-drilling though I was expecting one of our new posters claiming otherwise.
Repetetive posting of half ar5sed newspaper reports is now becoming tiresome.
Stena Ice Max continues to drill at P1.
Smith is now wanting to add the town planners on his hit list. FFS - why do we waste our time on this pap?
We will find out soon enough unless the environmental squad can pull a rabbit out of the hat.
I notice none of the doubters have been arrised to go through the many online news articles to compare the pro-drill comments vs the anti -drill comments. Perhaps the reason nobody has is that the pro-drill comments far outweigh the negative.
Of the photographs and videos used to promote demonstrations there has usually just been a single protester in any of the photos - of course social distancing was in place - though anyone knows the photographer can walk a few steps backwards and show how many other folk were present.
Were they lazy? Or is it just no one else gives a flying f(saucer) about it.
Just like nobody can be bothered to write a negative comment (I know there are some comments of course, though like the positive ones the negatives can come from anywhere around the world)
Folk having hissy fits because there are a couple of folks persistently posting negative WHAT IF type posts.
Yes we could all be killed by the falling asteroid - crossing the road - struck by lightning BUT if we believe all this negativity we would stay inside wrapped in cotton wool.
Feed the trolls and they will continue to bait you.
If you are a tiny bit concerned take professional advice as to whether to stick/twist - or sell your holdings.
If you are that concerned sell up and never look back.
BPC share price was at over 7p a couple of years ago just because a major was looking at the data room.
Today Stena are drilling the first exploration well and are hoping to hit a mother load. It might not. That is the roll of the dice.
Too many folks playing games here.
Let's see what tomorrow brings.
Pi55poor reporting by putting a photo of him in Venice whilst reporting on a paragliding incident in the alps.
It must have stung a tad I would have thought and I would not wish that pain on anyone.
I thought the warm weather would ease the paid, though perhaps the running around like a headless chicken this past week may have something to do with the very timely pain.
Whilst one can be a victim - it is bad craic using it to attempt to scupper other folk's plans.
Saw too much of playing the victim over the years it makes my blood boil.
It is Christmas and he may have gout too, after all the good living he does. Get well soon Fred - your supporters await you.
Jdam - that is very kind of you.
nope - but ex uniform
Lol - half the post was missing DOH
The Pros and Cons comment was preceded by a challenge for the naysayers and glass half fullers.
It was to look at the various online articles of the past week and tally up the amount of comments left by whomever as they are as anonymous there as they are here.
Numbers only for comments either for or against: -
Cons vs Pros
Cons vs Pros
Toodle pip, and whilst I am out don't be a "nasty" and try and spill my glass - If you do I will of course refill it. ;@)
Stay safe - and to steal a fellow poster's comment "I will stay frosty" today.
Tony - hardly a case of trying to talk the price up bearing in mind we were higher before the current situation with the eco warriors.
The fact is many are sat on a large red coloured portfolio and they wish to see it back to where we were before the current situation.
I do not see many folk shouting BUY BUY BUY though there are a few who pop in a strong sell.
No ramping - more expectation that once this bit of fuss is over the share price should recover to previous levels and once the results are known in February (unless we learn earlier) there will be smug faces on one side only.
With many oil finds in the area already confirmed, I am happy with my risk. Time will tell whether I have the smug look on my face in February.
Glass is half full - why people waste a life with a glass half empty approach is beyond me.
I have had numerous disasters with life, including bilateral kidney tumours, sarcomas elsewhere - I could have pulled up my bed covers and been a victim.
Whilst some around me considered the worse, I was happy these things were just blips in life. They were and whilst I have some interesting scars which are talking points around the pool - my life goes on as will everyone else's.
It just depends on what you prefer to focus upon - your glass being half empty - or my glass being half full.
Stay safe - stiff upper lip - deal with whatever happens IF and only IF it happens and you will probably have the focus to deal with it.
Worry and procrastinate all your life and your energy levels will be such that you cannot deal with even a mini crisis.
The world will not end soon, there will be a reliance on oil for some decades to come. I have blue skies outside so am off to pay them a visit. I will return later to see whether someone has spilt my glass lol.!!! ;@)
Young-gun - the voices of the politicians are important.
The current claim is that the politicians have made decisions which they claim need to be overturned.
Now add to the mix - the politicians feel they were over the barrel and were powerless to do anything about it and heyho a legal argument which could bring in the politicians.
Now those same politicians who were over the barrel are now trying to say the drill should go on even though they are against drilling - very cloudy water but as a QC - Mr Smith will not allow those comments to go un-noticed.
Nothing is as cut and dry in any courtroom especially if a party has a card up their sleeve that the opposing side has no come back on.
I have seen it in court many times.
We are talking BPC and Government of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas - anything can happen !!!
Whilst I am confident the legal team commissioned by the company will be good, the mixed messages we have had from the government has not done the government, nor BPC any favours.
When you have various politicians claiming they have been done up like kippers by the legal teams of BPC it can get smelly. even if they then go on and say they do not support the action of the environmental groups.
We are still very much a high risk play.
Thankfully we have had the drill bits turning throughout so there will be at least some levels to analyse and compute what may be down there.
Stay safe, hold your nerve and make your own decisions on the evidence from facts rather than from anonymous posters like me. ;@)
