Keep your knickers dry about the Greens - Why would it turn out anyway if the legal challenge was going the way you wanted it to? The vessel is showing as heading eastwards via sail so nought to worry about presently.

@.02646 so just below current offer - perhaps a late trade from yesterday of course. We will know by the end of the day.
..whilst we are on our backs playing turtle whilst listening to the various commentators telling us we are doomed or otherwise.
On the same side of the room are the eco-warriors and those, dare I say it, determined that BPC lose the ability to drill so they can pick things up on the very cheap.
In the meantime, LTH and newbies decry all the eco stuff and doomsters, and are looking for a rationale for the recent fund raise.
Perhaps - and this is only a single (perhaps simple) mind's cogs working.
How does the BoD show that they are determined and positive that the drill will go ahead regardless?
Well, they put out a nice video showing how safe oil drilling practices are these days and raise some money to show that the project is indeed attractive to new investment which in turn slaps a wet haddock in the face of the JR. They raise that money - for a purpose which is outlined in the RNS - in the face of the doomsters wishing BPC to falter at the last minute.
For those seeking answers - do some research. For those looking to invest, do some deep digging and only invest what you can afford to lose, especially in these crazy times of global mass redundancies. Do your own research rather than listen to some of the cr4p spouted on here. It is your money and not theirs.
Please use the internet and check out the stories told on here. Then, if you can contact people in your network and see if they can help if there are things you need verifying. BB users are in the main anonymous and most have an agenda - even if it is only to make money.
The BoD are paid to make decisions that are right for the company - sometimes they get it wrong which is why, when they have an AGM, shareholders can take them to task.
Am off out now to sort gin matters - stay safe, enjoy the day and let the players play. ;@)
...so folk can post any old****** on here.
The majority on here know that personal research must be done when listening to the many suggestions here. Try your best to annihilate the suggestion by doing research - if you cannot find fault then perhaps there is some truth - that is the time to start digging for the truth.
Try not to waste time with inane arguments - discover the truth and be in a better position with the argument. Saves blood pressure issues etc. Just an opinion of course. Pays your money and takes your choice.
Stay safe all ;@)

Interestking - loving your posting as always. I am sure all will be explicated in good time lol.
Another one for you molokai ;@)
With today's news, it was obvious there would be a little disappointment - though we knew there was a potential CLN under difficult terms - time will see if that is a much better result.
Optional warrants at 3p and 4p suggest that the company are happy these numbers will be surpassed - which in turn will add to personal coffers. We all would like to see much higher numbers, though baby steps at the moment.
Rome wasn't built in a day - in fact, it took far more than the 10 years I have been here.
Only a couple of days away to discover the fate of P1 - this injection of money makes it seem far more positive.
Onwards and upwards folks - Stay safe ;@)
Indeed, that would have been my own cynical view, had I expressed it.
It would have been nice for this to have been another open offer, but the bod seem to have a dynamic and quite aggressive strategy for building value. Whilst none of us know any more, it can only be the way. Though if I put my cynical head on, I am sure I can make it all look differently.
These funders will be creaming it in. That said, if as expected they assist the company's funding strategy - so will we all couple of days and we should know.
Better this news out now then the day after spud.
Is there any proof that TA is a Bahamian and residing in the islands? We are an anonymous group of people and nothing should be taken at face value.
There are a lot of folk playing games here. I may be one of them, though I assure you that I am not. MMMhhhhhh - one to ponder.
Anyway - here is a blast from the past from March 2020 http://www.tribune242.com/news/2020/mar/12/public-have-say-oil-operations/
Let us see how many folks turn up to the protest before we become concerned.
If they do get the bond then we can perhaps assume there is another big oiler in the background pulling the strings.
...by certain new posters - gloating (dwelling on one's own success or another's misfortune with smugness or malignant pleasure) going on here. To be honest I find it quite vulgar - though that is my own opinion.
We have not heard anything to state BPC will be ordered to cease their drilling operation and they were kept out of the application purposely. At the time of commencing their drilling operations and Ice Max setting sail, everything is above board and in line with the legislation and within the terms of the EIA that has been issued.
This application is just that - similarly with any objection to a planning application. NIMBY can scream and shout about something and they may even win, however, it does not put an end to drilling in this instance.
If a JR claim is successful the usual result is that the decision is "quashed" or nullified. In turn, this usually means that the decision has to be taken again. In planning cases, this means that the application will be reconsidered having rectified any defects found eg. with EIA or other required information. This can result in exactly the same decision being taken - so victories in JR can be pyrrhic. ((of a victory) won at too great a cost to have been worthwhile for the victor.)
The application for the JR does not merit a stay in the operations of BPC, therefore the drill can proceed unless any stay in proceedings is granted pending the outcome - this in my view would be highly unlikely.
This JR application IF successful would in itself be costly and extremely high risk to the applicant.
Many JRs have been upheld only for the result to remain as it was but with only a few minor adjustments to the original decision. So whilst perhaps a moral victory it is an expensive exercise.
And as has already been mentioned - The action taken by the QC is only an application for a Judicial Review.
Judicial review is a type of court proceeding in which a judge reviews the lawfulness of a decision or action made by a public body. In other words, judicial reviews are a challenge to the way in which a decision has been made, rather than the rights and wrongs of the conclusion reached.
The three principles of judicial review are as follows: The Constitution is the supreme law of the country. The Supreme Court has the ultimate authority in ruling on constitutional matters. The judiciary must rule against any law that conflicts with the Constitution.
Here is a little write up from a firm of solicitors found on the web - there will be many other similar versions to be found: -
https://www.richardbuxton.co.uk/the-law/judicial-review-process
Whilst this is not about oil - it is about planning processes and EIA in UK law.
Great stuff bynari - let us see what tomorrow brings us. I am grateful to be having a busy weekend working so will keep me off this for a bit lol - stay safe all ;@)
It is a last ditch attempt, though it has brought the matter to the forefront of people's minds.
The legal challenge should fail, though the conspiracist lying dormant in my head has awoken and suggested that powers (a super-major or major) outside the green activists may be responsible for this out of the blue activity. Anyone successful and stymying BPC at the final hour could be in line for a super-sized payout should it all go 7i7s up and allow some other suitor to come in.
Of course, the reality is that the conserve our bays brigade are behind it.
We will know soon enough whether this has just been a storm in a tea-cup like the RW was. For info their other vessels show no intent if visiting Freeport or anywhere nearby.
....remember we are a company with over 4 billion shares in issue.
Use your calculators and work out what 1% of shares in issue equates to and compare it with the daily volume.
When that figure equates for more than 20% should your ears be pricking. In my opinion only of course.
....craving the responses from folk who are perturbed by the several posts of doom and gloom.
For information - the majority of long term holders have written BPC off several times over the decade - the fact that a ship called Stena Ice Max has been commissioned to carry out an exploratory drill on behalf of BPC has been a highlight in the story thus far. The fact that the ship has set sail with the determination that it will set up and commence the drilling of P1 has not gone un-noticed by the followers of BPC - these followers obviously include the green protagonists who have waited until the vessel has set sail to launch a potential, possible legal challenge has also not gone un-noticed.
The company have issued a missive about this "Media Speculation" and state neither they nor the government have been served any papers.
It in my mind serves to say there is doubt that a legal challenge would have any legs at all at this stage of proceedings.
There has to be a measure of timeliness in legal proceedings and leaving it to the eleventh-hour smacks of malice and desperation.
Anyone can see that BPC has made no bones about their mission to drill in the licence areas. There have been umpteen opportunities to launch legal proceedings over the last 10 years and more.
Shout and scream all you want newbies - this has always been a HIGH RISK/HIGH REWARD play.
