I am not really qualified to understand what the game is at MXO, the market is obviously entranced and some will have made good money already, remember the French Billionaires buying in at UKOG and what happened there.
Just shows what can happen :-)

the fact that we are talking about obtaining pressure cores from the HRZ on conventional drills suggests strongly to me that discussions are well into operational detail, may also be suggestive that conventional partner may have an interest in the non conventional.
Uncontaminated cores replete with HC oil & gas will be invaluable.

if we are right in the assumption that any conventional drills will TD in the HRZ to enable pressurised cores to be extracted then roll on the conventional drills. :-)

On the question of artificial lift, it was mentioned fairly early on (swabbing), however I think if we likened the well to a passenger train Paul was determined to go from the engine, thro. each individual carriage in fine detail until he reached the guards van, gathering as much data as possible and seeing if nature would do the hard graft, probably the frac issues (although proving that the HRZ would frac) ultimately prevented any meaningful flow and then winter arrived.

As Newanda stated in his excellent post at 10:35 (last para) there are generally two sides to most issues, hindsight is a cruel master.

PaulB: We had log quality issues. We had washouts in the hole. Because the formation is very over-pressured. Where we had core we have certainty - there’s no uncertainty. But there’s part of the hole that we didn’t get all of the information that we need - and so in this vertical well we're also going to be able to acquire the additional information as well as the induction falloff testing, we’re going to actually to frack into these zones - we’re going to be able to measure the height growth and the embedment and all the other things like that.
