Oil Search’s partner Repsol has expressed continued satisfaction with its Pikka/Horseshoe area assets, including recently. In March at CERAWeek in Houston, Repsol executives told Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy and his team that Repsol was, “willing to make a company-sized bet in Alaska.”

Repsol’s Upstream Executive Managing Director Tomás García Blanco was quoted as saying Alaska was a “game-changing opportunity” for the Madrid-based major, noting “Alaska is a key growth area for our global upstream business.”

At the moment we do not know the strength of any commitment, I had hoped that DW would have been able to announce an exclusivity agreement as per BPC, in the absence of that we can only trust that negotiations continue until such time that we receive news yes or no.
DW has stated that any FO partner will not rely solely on our data, whether that means complete new 3D or just new analysis ?
As the company has made statements via winter 2020 exploration is planned we could do with some positive news soon.

PS the perma in permafrost means permanent (2 yrs or more), some predicting that global warming will impact in the future.

Monty we are a high risk exploration company not a producer, most of us understand that I am sure.
The potential returns here are still very good in my opinion and I am happy to take the risk and also de risk as & when I can.
Nothing wrong with a balanced portfolio of shares and investments, but I always wonder why you seem to target 88E for you Altruism :-)
