As of today we are at 20 for Dubhe-1 so you could be right but perhaps Max and Erich will want to double check all data including salanity before releasing initial findings, would imagine Max will not forget Megrez-1 even if spud and initial results were before his time.

The trend over the last month is a slight increase in SP, but there is plenty of bobbling in between, we have good days and not so good days, we are almost certainly past the placement overhang so nothing much unexpected as far as I can see.

Next news (when we get to TD and initial log/core results seen) will I am sure be positive after all this is an appraisal well and will probably lift the SP but by how much is anyones guess.

Due to the way shorts are reported and indeed the apparent delinquency of many of the players in their updating any changes that they are obliged to make it is not aways possible to be certain about what is happening, for example do we know if Qube or Citadel are shorting still or what Mangroves current % actually is, FCA is a toothless beast it seems.

Worth a visit if only for the practical knowledge bought to the table by Alaska Geophiz (hope I got that right), one thing I noted was that there was talk of a two mile lateral for Dubhe-1 but the July presentation talks about 3000' -4000' (2/3 mile) lateral only.

GBP have been sparing with release of information about Dubhe-1, probably for all the right reasons as why give your competitors information, but it can lead to unintentional misinformation.

just checked and there are quite a few other SI trades, from little I know thought this was an "exceptional" trade but I now wonder as to whether this happens every day and I have just not seen.

Not sure if that signifies anything but something I do not think I have seen before.

I also recognise that the Buy/Sell data provided by LSE can be wildly inaccurate and not include all trades.

Thanks for your reply, I get that in L2 you are looking at the order book rather than just published trades but I just wonder why such a disparity exists between L2 and the published trades, even at close of play the ratio of 2:1 is in favour of sells. I know that not all orders convert to actual trades and there are a lot of automated trades that can blur the true size of trades but I am still surprised at the disparity in real time.

I have never used L2 as I am not sure how much benefit I would accrue as I do not day trade, almost all of my shares are FTSE 100 long term holds I guess you are more active.

Like the idea but as Mangrove are consistently delinquent in updating their position it's very difficult to watch anything :-(
