I think the shorters are beginning to panic. They believed that the election of Trump would be the death knell of green energy. Instead Europe has seen what an unreliable partner America is and are pushing forward with alternative energy. Likewise in Australia and Japan. Trump May remain popular with some in the states but is doing real long term damage to Americas standing.

I understand your point Ade however I think you should bear in mind that the government is a prime mover in bringing about the necessary change regarding our switch from fossil fuels and if grants/ export guarantees etc are on offer then we would be silly not applying. Look at the money that has been poured into car companies and the steel industry over the years
