I too was impatient this morning and paid nearly 1.35 however I also managed to buy some on Friday at 1.09 so overall not too bad. I would be happy for this to sit around 1.20 to 1.40 mark for a few weeks until I have further funds for another top up however I really don’t think that will happen.

The big question is can the shorters risk some huge contract news breaking. FID’s must be due to take place soon and Europe appears to be going full steam ahead

I have to strongly disagree with you Daz. If for arguments sake only 5% of the world’s oil and gas came through the SOH instead of 20% then the effect of the war would be much more limited and the increase in prices much less. It stands to reason that if Europe, Africa and South America all had more local producers then they would be less vulnerable to price shocks. It seems crazy that Britain is importing gas from Norway when there’s plenty of it in the undeveloped British North Sea

Overall I came away with the feeling of quiet confidence. There is still plenty of work ahead, they seem laser focused on reducing costs and producing robust equipment, fit and forget was a phrase often used. JW seems very grounded

9- H power looking towards a distribution model which from my limited understanding keeps a lot of costs off the books

10- the LC 30 looks solid and is currently progressing through ce marking. The LC 100 will have the same footprint

11- they have started to sell hydrogen from the Dunsfold cracker

4- the relationship with Tamgo is very much alive

5- the European renewable energy sector is in a major growth phase

6- at present about 800’000 tonnes of green ammonia is produced annually, this is forecast to grow to at least 27 million tonnes and could be as high as 45 million tonnes by 2030

7- Saudi Arabia has a plant planned to produce 1.2 million tonnes, I think air products are the takeoff partner

Having attended the recent AGM I have to say that Ade is probably right in that not much will be announced until 2027. However unlike Ade I’m not willing to reduce my holding for fear of missing out on some left field blockbuster news.

3- when asked JW was realistic about the current share price, we are where we are, basically it would be a disappointing share price if we had millions of pounds of orders

Just bought 1’000 but had to pay 109. Might seem expensive at the moment but long term a bargain. I just wanted to round my holding up.

Just looked at tradegate where it’s up almost 9% already. We’re certainly going past the pound mark shortly. How quickly it happens will depend on how fast the shorters will run for the hills. Well done to all who kept the faith in this great company

It finally looks like hydrogen is being accelerated as an important part of the future energy mix. ITM winning serious government backing today and clearly they were in a much stronger position to win such grants/ investments as they have products in the market. Hopefully, in the next few months we’ll have CE marking, s and p company named , an order book of millions and maybe a strategic investment or two.

Keep the faith. The whole sector is going to grow

Not the RNS I was hoping for. End of 1st quarter. Had hoped for sign off from EG and Chinese governments. Yet another self imposed deadline missed by WH.

I’m beginning to think that you might be right Ade and that this could drop to 7p if no sales are announced soon and also the war escalates in the Middle East. In the short term both are possible however as soon as the war ends stocks will recover quickly.

So why am I not selling? Put simply I’m an investor not a trader. Having held for so many years I would hate to miss out on the boom. Just imagine how gutted you would feel if the s and p partner made a strategic investment in AFC similar to the one linde made in ITM.

Currently up 13% on news of a collaboration with centrica. Be good to have a similar rise when we announce the name of our s and p partnership

I think you will find that there’s a world of difference between the attitude of the Irish government and the government of EG. The Irish government with Ryan as energy minister delayed renewing permits. Governments can have tax friendly policies or like the case of the uk a very high windfall tax which discourages investment.

Given the present situation if we can’t get approvals for Cloughton and Ireland then we never will. The EU are finally waking up to the need for them to use their own resources while they transition to renewables. Cloughton looks increasingly like a political decision that nobody wants to own. Even reform councillors whose national party policy is to drill seem strangely reluctant to come out in support of. Same nimbyism as the rest.

You are clearly not suited to such a volatile market. Move onto a ftse tracker. I certainly would have been better off if I had but it’s the constant whinging that I can’t stand. Own your decision

I would think that the present crisis would result in many western governments looking at developing their own energy resources. It’s four years since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. You would have thought that the resultant energy crisis would have focused their minds. Unfortunately the green lobby seemed happy for consumers to be punished by high prices whilst giving economic support to corrupt regimes.

I’m heavily invested in renewable stocks but I recognise that fossil fuels will continue to play a major role in our energy supply for years to come.

At some stage the penny will drop with decision makers. Locally sourced fossil fuels have a lower carbon footprint than those imported from the Middle East or America. Alongside sensible subsidies for renewable energy we might avoid getting dragged into unnecessary wars.

Is our patience to be rewarded. I genuinely feel that by the summer we will see a stream of steady orders. I don’t think any one company will be putting in an initial order of 100 units. I’d be happy with the low teens to begin with and build up rapidly from there.
