The floor is thick with toys this morning?1 Jul 2021 10:09
My goodness! There won't be anything left in the prams shortly!
Calm down folks............ !
Ranting at each other will not help and certainly will not send the shareprice up.
1. If you take a quick look at the CV's of the current BOD, my judgement is that collectively they have massive negotitaion experience and knowledge. I teach Advanced Negotiation skills and Leadership & Management skills at Masters Degree Level for two Universities and am one of the two founding directors of a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Centre. This is an area that I have considerable experience in (unlike many other topics on which I am clueless!).
2. The DHSC issue does need to be resolved and it will be but trying to hurry the process puts you at a considerable disadvantage if the other side know what they are doing, hence this statement in the recent update on 22nd June
"At this time, the Company is unable to provide further clarification on the dispute or the timing of resolution due to the confidential nature of discussions underway. However, the Company has taken legal advice in relation to the dispute and believes it has strong grounds to assert its contractual rights."
3. There has been a lot of fantastic news over the past few months which rather undermines the view expressed on here frequently that the company does not communicate! It's simply been overshadowed by the dispute.
4. The dispute is fully priced in for the worst case scenario as far as I can work out. The sp is subject to influence by the traders and shorters and some people's portfolios might not look pretty at the moment (mine included) but if you take a deep breath, stand back and look at the facts, this share is monumentally underpriced.
5. Is Novacyt in danger of going under and will you lose it all? For goodness sake NO! Covid is going nowhere, the company has a fantastic portfolio of non-Covid related diagnostic products and is steadily growing revenue streams all over the place. My guess is that the LFT tests recently announced will have fantastic potential all over the place. I lost my mum in hospital to sepsis a couple of years ago because it was not diagnosed quickly enough. Imagine a saliva based LFT routinely done for that! And don't forget the cash in the bank, insurance does not get better than that!
6. You have lost nothing until you sell and bail out. It does require patience (something which seems to be in short supply this morning) and should not be an issue unless you need the money or have borrowed to invest (in which case you are very foolish imo). People rant on about the 'lost opportunities' elsewhere. Really, in that case why are you not millionaires then? The reality is that the majority of us make a bit, occasionally get lucky, sometimes drop a clanger but probably do ok overall over a reasonable period of time with a well-balanced spread of investments.
So where does this all lead to. Patience folks, it will all work out OK in my opin
