Degiro are certainly priced like an execution-only , but maybe have risk management added to their conditions of service in some countries?

IG show we closed at 2.75p , so close to my LSE average. But as Small Fry suggested , I am not remotely interested in selling any so it matters not to me until I can buy a Hydrogen powered motorbike! I am desperate to see Electric Motogp bite the dust!!!! Or am i desperate to Hydrogen combustion engines winning out against idoitic battery powered vehicles. Disposing of short-lived batteries will be the next crisis if it happens! Diesel engines can be good for 440k miles (Skoda Octavia taxi was on the road with that mileage) -Hydrogen will match that imho - how many miles will electric cars last? Nothing like as many is my bet!

The RNS is echoing the two tranches issued to the Doc 19% of the shares representing the 143m he bought. £11.95 is too much imho - I used Jarvis (X-O) @ a flat £5.95 per trade , buy or sell!

They limited me to LSE and I wanted the option of buying TOU on ASX with dividends I get from CBA on ASX , paid in AUD! IG provided that with £8 per trade on LSE and $10 AUD (£5.50 ish) on ASX! They offer frequent trader rates on LSE (but not ASX). 3 trades in a calendar month gives you frequent trader status for the following month. My AUD and GBP count as a single account which is great! I did 3 x $10 trades i.e. about £16.50 to get £3 per trade on LSE the following month on LSE.

An since then, I do 3 trades per month on LSE @ £3 and keep frequent trader!! IG charge Custodial charges on a quarterly basis £24 per account if the account is below a threshold!
At 1.5p my accounts were lower but frequent trader status cancels custodial charges!!

Hence my 3 x £100 trades each month , £1 more than a single trade @ £8 has been worthwhile.
The £3 means I rarely bother with Jarvis , but I had shares in HL with them! They paid a £200+ divi in October that I had forgotten about. They used to reach £20 near ex-dividend date , and fell bacl to £17 after! Peter Hargeaves then shed huge numbers of his shares and killed the share price! I sold up at less than £8 while TLOU were below 3p!!! I expect tLOU to reach 6p long before HL get anywhere close to £17 if they ever do! X-O is now purely TLOU apart from USOP who have about £14k of my hard earned off all exchanges! They are drilling for oil in Nevada and are still optimistic! I gave up on them years ago!

I see the Chancellor has announced road tax from 2025 on Electric Vehicles! That could be a booster for TLOU and SM if SM can achieve their ambitions on Hydrogen and Carbon!
My pension rise of 10.1% should cover the TV licence I bought last night. £159 is a large chunk off my current £178 weekly pension!!! Oh! the other thing on share trading! IG allow you use Paypal and Credit cards to deposit money (min £250). So I buy my £300 tranches and don't have to pay for them for weeks and months after! I pay my whole balance religiously - if you are indisciplined on credit card management it is perhaps not a good idea!!!

I had a free Tandem card that paid commission on credit card spends - fun days until they introduced a monthly fee and I axed the card! Using bank transfers you can credit any amount - I have paid 9p on a bank transfer when I somehow put my IG account into the red by 9p! Not sure how that happened - they do not allow overdrafts - but they never made a fuss - I like them!

Small Fry using IG Quote system there seems to be plenty of shares available @ 2.768p fixed price. I cannot buy less than £90 worth on LSE but they will quote for any number and prices your 642 shares (including frequent trader charge of £3) was £20.77p

Dumped my Hargreaves shares in favour of TLOU, so no more dividends , but have a new milestone to aim at. LSE are taking forever to record it, but so are ADVFN so my broker must be a bit slower than IG?

Won't say too much but I found out today that TV Licencing use I-player as a policeman.
e.g. if you declare you do not need a licence and then watch Iplayer , they are checking and cancel the 2 year waiver! 75 yr olds who were looking forward to free licences, have to be blind to get 50% off, or earn less than £182 per week (which happens to be close to the state pension alone ) to qualify for full relief. If you are deaf as well I wonder if they give you another 50% off :O)
A new trick for an old dog is required. Do not use the same email address on any written correspondence (snail mail perhaps) and your I-Player login. My Xmas present to myself is a TV Licence this year it seems.

Google drive is batty!
I posted the sunset photo and was horrified to see that personal details were all published above the photo! I used manage link and could not shake it off! I renamed the file a.jpg and it remained the same with a.jpg appearing! I deleted the file. I deleted the file in the bin! Still it showed the same with a message saying it was in the bin!!!

I then looked on my Iphone to see what I'd see! It said a.jpg had been deleted by the user and was in his bin! Which it was not of course - it was deleted permanently!

Confused , I tried to restore the non-existent file and it worked! Went back to phone and it is displaying what you can see (I guess) , no personal stuff at all? Modern software is totally illogical - you seem to have to be an idiot to understand it, because it is written for idiots!!

Iam scared to hit "return" since using FB because they use it to send! I open paragraphs autimatically with "return" and typing in boxes needs it every few seconds.

Winni, MM is/was wondering if the Doc is making a move on TLOU ownership. Is that what you are thinking? I'll be amazed if anybody would want to replace TG because he is going to produce his Midas touch here - it is just a matter of time , when? Nobody employing Midas would want to replace him surely?

Winni, there is a world of difference surrounding your " building a business from the ground up" description. At one extreme you have Australians (CEO born in Yeovil in fact, but a naturalised Aussi and ex-doorman) building a business in the North Yorks moors and running out of money! And at the other , there is a successful Australian in the petroleum industry who saw the benefits to be had from coal based methane duringthe next millenium. He created two profitable CBM electricity companies, each sold for profits measured in billions of AUD, and then deserted Australia for a third venture in Botswana for lower production costs and increased revenues and less red tape than Oz had introduced!!

After success in his first two ventures , was it likely he could not do it for a third time?
With hindsight, the reduced red-tape expected in Botswana proved to be thorny to say the least. Anybody with half a brain, would have expected the Govt to push for cheap, clean and reliable CBM power to replace dirty, expensive,unreliable coal and diesel. The Govt did not live up to expectations, with the Minister (Eric Molale) being too cautious in his approach which killed off one tenderer for up to 100Mw of power and delayed the other, TLOU, for years.
Once Eric was replaced by a new minister, Mr Moagi, support for TLOU was 100% , and then Covid struck and put the mockers on everything for another couple of years!

Tlou, could have been bankrupted under reckless management, but they weathered the storm brilliantly and opened up potential markets in other CBM spheres which could have produced an income outside the original plans! Sods law put a stop to those activities when lockdown restrictions were reduced globally and the original plans became deliverable during 2023!

The emphasis therefore returned to the original plan, but the alternatives are still alive as future plans. Once the 25Mw capacity on the first Serowe transmission lines is reached , any slack time that arises may be used to resurrect those alternatives if they remain feasible. If not then plans for additional power lines will have become the priority so any delays will fit the prevailing plan.

Though very welcome, it is long overdue, these rises are because one guy buys 143m shares at a discount on the true value of his shares.

Imho nothing has changed. Tlou and TG are still saying the same things that their supporters have had faith in for years. The idiotic prices people have sold shares for over years has enabled the faithful to average down handsomely! They are miles better off now than they'd have been if they had taken their planned 4.4p / 8c options. TLOU now have the funds we'd have provided and we still have the cash to buy on the open market at idiotic prices for a limited period.

As D-Day gets closer and we prepare to deliver electricity to Serowe the idiotic sells will cease and the price will leave 3.5p (and the notional 4.4p) in its wake.

This was always going to end happily for anyone who kept the faith in TG / Tlou.

I am considering FRACKING v HORIZONTAL drilling!
Fracking can be used alongside horizontal drills , and below it also says they can be added at a later date if required! "Different techniques for extraction of CBM are used compared to hydraulic fracturing (fracking) for shale gas but there are several similarities and fracking can be introduced into later stages of the gas production process to increase gas flows."

Another quote says..
"Stages of CBM extraction. A project to extract CBM onshore has several stages:
Exploration – Promoters gather and assess data to determine the availability of CBM. This work includes seismic testing, core sampling and horizontal exploratory drilling. It can also include fracking.
Moving into production – Well sites are prepared for full-scale extraction, and more vertical and horizontal boreholes are drilled. Materials including drilling (and fracking) fluids are brought on site. A facility is built to treat the waste water produced. A gas treatment facility may also be needed to make the gas suitable for adding to the supply system.
Production – The wells are de-watered (and/or fracked) to extract CBM, which may need to be purified before combustion or export to the gas network. Waste water is treated before discharge. Sludge from the water treatment facility is taken off site for disposal elsewhere.

Fracking uses pressurised water!! Now where can we find water :O) Sounds like perpetual motion to me!!! More info from this as well! Sorry it is bitty but did not find a single source saying everything in a concise manner. Our options going forward look unlimited and we are doing everything right so far (as I'd expect from TG).

Checked my dormant broker account and found I had a small dividend from HL.
Used it to buy at 2.2p , exactly half the option price .......... happy days

The SM IPO that was postponed gave TLOU the option to buy into SM , up to $3m (AUD).
It makes me wonder if our backers including the UK consortium and the Stephen Hemsley Group would be up for financing that money. We are not hearing much about Hydrogen of late but , hopfully, it has not gone away!

TB, we will probably need Mamba to supply Orapa - and a gas pipe to be built.

The possibilities for TLOU are incredible. P29Bn is about £1.9Bn - over 3 years?????????? 7 or 8 years ago? TLOU is pure gold and always has been!!!!! Orapa is definitely waiting for us to supply CBM if we are the only one in Botswana as we are being told. I believe is might be 145km from Mamba to Orapa (half as far again as Lesedi to Serowe) - with current diesel prices P29Bn must be much higher now - WHY ISN'T ORAPA throwing money at the pipeline and TLOU to get it going? You must be right TB - if Mamba dewaters in line with Selemo it could overtake Lesedi in a few years.

OK Sait, must say I am disappointed with what your posted - they are up 14% today and I thought I'd timed it beautifully. They are over 2p now.

TB, 3.5p is their price - matching the 5p days when we were offered options!
The special deal in the UK gave a 1.5p in return for good faith in raising the cash in 24 hrs , and to compensate them for NOT GETTING our options!!! At the time 5p was only going to rise until Covid struck!!! The Doc and BPOPF imho are telling us the price is 3.5p and not the micky mouse price idiots are letting the crown jewels go for! I have been saying that forever and a day! I don't actually believe what I just said btw!

They think the true value is still 5p+ and they are getting a bargain price! TLOU are worth more now with 12 months to earnings, than they were when they were 17p with several years of planning, digging etc etc on the horizon!!
