I have wasted all those hours on MS sites and the like. MTB knows everything about everything (just ask him, and he'll modestly confirm that) but as he is fitered I don't suppose 'll be able to benefit from him. LSE have deleted a message from this board so it can pay to report. The post accused someone of being insulting but the poster boaster said he could be more so! Very childish imho. Have wasted hours trying to correct a bug in Word. If I open an rtf attachment from an email download, Word says it cannot do it because there is an open dialogue box. I thought a reboot would clear the erroneous flag but not so. Click ok to closing the non-existent box and the file loads perfectly so it is just an irritation! Turning off the trusted settings which open attachments in protected view allows file to open without the warning, but nobody should open attachments like that. Windows 10 and Word 2016 without Norton ..... anybody else affected by this? My work-round is to install Wordpad and use that instead. But that is not ideal either seeing I pay for Office.

Tyche, I posted a long time ago that only 23% of Kenyan homes had electricity. Quite a shock because I thought Kenya was one of the more advanced countries. Perhaps I was swayed by their top class athletes? A few major sporting events which attract millions of broadband visitors to the continent is in order? The Avanti games sounds quite good to me. Until the 90th minute Barcelona were 99.99% a beaten side, but with a first class team it was conceivable they could do the impossible. Can Avanti start selling in the volumes and at the prices to turn around huge debts? With Paul Walsh as striker , our Neymar , who knows? In 2017 with the sheep mentality prevailing ..... it only needs Avanti to become flavour of the day to see a reversal in the future of this company. Commonsense tells me Africa need broadband as much as us so if enough can afford it (the $64M question) then it could just happen. Salesmen can only do so much, the mood of the masses will dictate if and when broadband takes off in Africa. Meanwhile, kicking the sales team is OK for some of you. I recognise they have a difficult task and so do they no doubt. But who said football is a game of two halves - more like 2 minutes? It seems very sad that South Street puts a STRONG SELL on a share that is only a few pence. The maximum 9p downside versus an unlimited upside looks so cowardly to me. I wonder if he is the sort who'd help if a couple of large yobs were beating up one small innocent? I don't really ..... I'd expect him to make it 3 to one. This must be a very weak buy - certainly worth a little bit of speculation as long as Paul Walsh stays on board. My average is probably in the £3 to £5 range so I am too heavily invested to add to my liability but I'd encourage new-comers to risk 9p some of the time :O)

People are on this board because they have singled out Avanti as a company they are interested in. If they had no interest they would be elsewhere .... as you should be! Being neutral or positive is reason enough to post , but why does anybody want to waste their time trashing a useless share unless they have an ulterior motive. Personally, I have always seen the aim of this company as worthwhile and potentially profitable, and I have paid dearly , so far , for maintaining that stance. I live in hope that one of these days that Africa will wake up and decide to use Avanti. The educational market sounds the most likely route to capture some imaginations. Once the kids get their hands on broadband at school , some will want it in their homes ....... fingers crossed!
