ii don't do anything well it seems. I have been receiving dividends from one ASX stock in AUD which I reinvested it in another ASX stock for the standard TDW commission charge (same on ASX as the FTSE). ii took over and changed this to £20 for ASX and £10 for FTSE which makes it more efficient to swallow an FX loss converting to GBP and buying on FTSE. As a result I now have TOU shares on ASX , and TLOU shares on the FTSE so to take up my entitlement will cost 2 transactions at £30, wiping out any benefit on the offer price.

They quote 10 cents (ASX) , and 5.75p (FTSE) from memory so there is not much doubt we are included. I am annoyed because my ASX shares are in an account with II and those cowboys are charging �20 per transaction for ASX and only �10 for the FTSE. Because of that I used my AUD dividends to buy TLOU rather than TOU so my holding is now split because the two exchanges - so 2 transaction fees if I take my full entitlement - unless the placing comes free of fees??? TDW was so much easier to deal with but I have said that before!

Agreed Chess, expanding into a second coalfield hardly suggests the company that is in difficulty with their existing operation - it is progressing even if the share price is suffering ( in hopefully the short term).

Bythesea - we don't need to sell gas surely? The idea is to power electricity generators and to make money from the electricity. If there is an excess of gas we cannot generate more electricity from it then selling that gas might be possible but it is not the core business? I wish the company had worded this placement in terms of accelerating the Lesedi plans to make it sound more positive. Best of luck with the Mrs ...... hope she does not realise you could have retrieved most of your savings once she saw her holiday G&Ts were invested. Keep the faith ..... Africa still has an energy shortage!

I am wondering when the last day is to buy new shares so they will be registered at TLOU/TOU at 7am on 15th. Are they registered at TLOU/TOU on the broker's settlement day or is there a further delay?

Eligible shareholders may subscribe for fully paid ordinary share for each 6 fully paid ordinary shares held at 7.00(AEDT) / 6.00pm (BST) on 15 June 2018(the �Record Date�). So we can buy more until the14th knowing we can get a further 1/6 of those at 5.75p or 10 cents. This looks attractive price-wise if the company is healthy. It seems to me that previous positive funding statements applied to Mamba which goes ahead as planned and this new placing is for an expansion into Lesedi (hopefully Mamba the schedule is unaffected ). It seems very short notice for the stockbrokers to get the offer to us and the dates seem weird. If we can apply for 1/6 of 15th holding makes it look like the offer will be after the 15th but the successful offer will be tradeable on FTSE and ASX from the 20th? This was a poor RNS - too much guesswork! It reads in places that the shares have been bought already whilst the dates contradict that?

I am intrigued how a bid of 5.52p and an ask of 6.48 translates into a SP of 4.84p - has DW taken over LSE?

If ,after a decade, this venture does not know what Direction they are heading in we really are in serious trouble. Was disappointed with the wording in the RNS - surely it is possible to make life sound a bit more exciting than that? Celebrating the successful #4 launch would have been easy, and looking forward eagerly to the #3 launch would not really have needed much inspiration surely? I thought it was the welshman's influence that everything looked so dour but now I wonder. My complaint with DW was that he always made the problems more significant than the excellent news. This company should be bouncing with delight when it comes to launches - Ariane has done us proud and every launch looks to have been perfect or even better! #1 went so well they gained 2 years life because of the fuel saving on a better than expected launch. Technically they look fantastic but selling the product has been hopeless. With hindsight maybe they should have given away the bandwidth for a limited period - even Africans might have taken a freeby. Once established they might then have paid handsomely for a proven product? TLOU are suffering from the African lethargy - the story of my life!

Facebook is so mercenary - they tried to get onboard with Satellite company AVN which covers Africa, Middle East and Europe but did not want to pay for it. They sent up their own $200M Amos-6 satellite years later but it blew up. Karma at work I suspect?

GG trying to bully the Govt and risking their non-cooperation is probably one of my biggest fears. African govts are literally a law unto themselves and like sweeteners more than salt. Perhaps GG needs to buy a sugar plantation? Our alternatives to relying on Botswana i.e. supplying an international grid , may well need sugar for several countries. GG deliberately chose Botswana for its stable govt -so fingers crossed he is playing his cards right. I think he is. And regarding the SP it will soon be a case of higher,higher,higher,higher,higher,higher!
