Found cba.xxx on jarvis and assumed they could buy them through the London Stock Exchange.

I did not transfer stock from ii - I sold everything with them on Monday morning and they settled on Wednesday. I have instructed them to pay it all into my bank account using standard delivery which is free. It takes one working day so the cash will be deposited in the morning I hope. I'll use enough with Jarvis to buy back my CBA shares assuming their platform actually works on ASX.

Not many ASX stocks are available through Jarvis - but CBA seems to be one of them..... I am unable to find a time when the market is open. I guess their dealing room is only open from 8am to 4:30 pm FTSE time but they might arrive early doors to catch the ASX platform before it closes - don't know how they will buy for me - market is shown as closed but is open in reality...

Just tried to do a dummy purchase and got this when I hit 'review your order'!
Think I'd better call them before I try in earnest.
London is compulsory for ISA account for sure.

Boo - think adding .XXX gets the quote back and no more. It worked for TOU.XXX too. What I found on some blogsite looks duff!

Are you confusing them shorting with providing shares for sorters to borrow by any chance.
That makes sense for them because they look unlikely to need those shares soon (or ever?) so they may as well make some money on them from the shorters. I'd hope they get short of shares to loan out so they buy some more but 4.8 billion is certain to be enough unless one of the newbies on here shorts them all?

If Norge shorted themselves I don't think we'd be looking at 8% shorts or a highest of 2.9%, do you?

I took that to be a joke, which it is probably, but my take on it was you applied for 2 shares @ 15p i.e. 30p but they gave you 4 @ 15p i.e. 60p so you owe 30p!!!!

X-O probably close the offer at midnight because ther asked for orders "by the 15th".
So that is when their work started - entitlements simple - money in the account, quantity fixed so they could have updated the transaction histories if the settlement date is also agreed?

But it would be nice for the punters to hear the full story and they will clearly take a while to distribute the extra shares in a fair manner (which will anger a good few punters who are unrealistic) if they know how many they will receive yet from Sirius?

The 'shortly' message almost surely means from the 15th and might be the full story.
I asked for almost double my entitlement, deliberately keeping below. If they don't offer any extra shares to individuals I expect them to be the ones who requested multiples of their entitlement.

Hopefully we will all know by the end of the week.

II bokers had my settlement money ready to withdraw this morning when I looked quite a bit before 8am.
Put in the bank transfer immediately and it was accepted despite reducing my account balance to zero.
I hope that closing the account will be as straightforward, but so far so good. Just waiting for the cash to be received at my bank first.

If you look up T20 settlements without a date and you might get Easier.com and blurb about TDW bringing in settlement days in 2007 as discussed here a day or two ago.

TDW is now old hat, far less 2007, but X-O allow T20 for CBA on ASX!

T20 settlements 2019 search (to see what Jarvis terms might be) brings up page after page about cricket :O)

If that is typical I don't think we need worry about the ASX prices?
If they drop too much on ASX there will be buyers snapping up a bargain if they have an AUD$ account!

Not me, I close my foreign exchanges broker tomorrow but, I saw yesterday that CBA (my main interest in AUS) are listed on Jarvis X-O and can be traded with prices shown as AUD$ - there is an automatic FX deal on such trades but Jarvis now looks pretty good! My dividends might be in GBP or AUD but they'll do the conversion there too, I guess? I trust Jarvis to be fair but I'll need to clarify their FX rates to be sure to be sure!

If the shorters are going to win at sub 15p, they will be creating an opportunity for us to snap up some cheapies we wanted but did not get on the extra shares requests. Perhaps we should be grateful in a strange sort of ywa?

My new computer has larger letters on the keys than my old Acer - but on the acer they were bolder and I could see them without having to tilt the keyboard. That tilting causes so many errors - usually the cursor flies off to some other page that is open!
