Grizzly, what is new? We admire Barca and Man City because they have lots of top players and the team looks good when they prove their reputation is deserved.
TG is top player but his match lasts longer than 90 minutes. His history is a definite positive, what he is achieving looks promising but the match is ongoing! Being 10-0 up is not a guaranteed win until the whistle is close to being blown whether that is 15, 10 or 5 minutes?
So people quote the definite plusses! And they are pretty good?

When you see the low volumes on ASX it is clear TOU is not a household name in Oz.

But the FTSE itself does not show many trades either. I think we are too low key and nobody has heard of us, partly because we have a very circumspect leader, and I don't want it any other way.
Meanwhile our shares are a fantastic price so we should be happy we can build a healthy holding.

The opposite will happen one day, and we'll be asking why is the share price doubling every few weeks?

I am not sure Tony is ready to retire yet. But he may not fancy going through the start up of yet another mine because he needs to be young enough to enjoy the returns from his labour one day.
Imho it seems most likely that he will stick with TLOU and be content to expand it. He knows all the right people on the mining front and just needs the generation experience to have a busy but relatively relaxing time making a fortune for himself and the rest of us. He sounds well respected by everyone, and Botswana is universally acclaimed for being a stable African country - why risk it elsewhere?

Being an Anglo/Australian company there should not be any communication difficulties.
BHP was previously called Billiton - I had to look it up. British Huntley and Palmer sounded wrong.
Potash production might appeal to them?

Another guy I can remember meeting told me there was a fortune to be made in environmental scrap, largely because the govt were handing out fortunes to start up companies. I know one guy who took them up on it and got the only refridgerator gas recycling machine in the area for a good proportion of £1M , maybe a quarter?, and now he is across the country.

Lovely guy, Geoff bought David Webb (Chelsea)'s old house from him off Poole Harbour but has moved since, to about the third house along from it. Has two jetties rather than one. I heard he gave taxi drivers a score for his ride home when the price was £6+. He had one of the Bond (James) Aston Martins in one of his offices at one time. And maybe an old Madam Tussauds waxwork of a Bond actor. His workers love him to bits because he treats them so well.
Needless to say I stayed in IT when I should have gone into scrap! And got my head knocked off?

If LSE show buys and sells anywhere near correctly, the numbers really do not suggest such a drop. The whole days trading fits on the first screen - in fact 8 whole days do - about 30 deals in a day hardly enough to say there was run on the 'bank' ,even if they were in fact all sells. The LSE assumptions look sensible to me but with such a small spread there are few that are definitely right!
And LSE have * against them all I notice.

The price was between £5 and £7 and it was expected to see £23 if Hylas #1 went well.
It went better than well but the share price now is a red hot penny - too hot to hold for sure (except I'll never sell whilst they are surviving technology wise). If enough governments are using us for hush hush purposes maybe one of them will rescue us if it gets to that point?

Good timimg Dadean - I downloaded my account details today so I can see what cash has gone into my account because the cost of my shares looks too high!

On the 21/11/16 my broker took the funds for my OO shares.
On 6/12/16 I received the refund for the excess shares I did not get.
Really complicated entries because I had to fund them all from my nominee account because I had no more deposits available to my ISA.

I think I received 7088 of 10000 excess request and 7797 of 11000 and was refunded for 6115 shares.

My belief is that the OO is treated as a make hay opportunity for all of us when offered a 22p stock for 15p!
Then Scottys law comes in, and those who don't have any readies for their entitlement, sell off shares to get the funds.

The price inevitably falls but then the quick buck chasers start to worry that they are going to make very little profit.
Disillusioned, they give up on the share and decide to get out asap. They may even take a loss hence the sub 15p!

What they fail to realise, is this nearly always happens on an OO, and in a while there will be a fortune returned to applicants who do not get all the extra shares they requested. The LTH is going to be chuffed at the low prices and throw that refund at the open market boosting the price which hopefully kick-starts a slow but sure rise.

Aye, Rosewall, as I alluded to a while back, Myo has come in after all the really brilliant posters stopped posting.
When there was half a dozen or more of them it was difficult to be stupid with all of them without it being obvious.
Myo is clearly putting in so much effort to this board but is a single target, much easy to hit that several who are moving around from day to day.
tbh I don't read all his posts verbatim because my memory is incapable of storing the fine details but whem someone does post useful info that I don't understand it is Myo's responses that usually make them make sense.

Can you believe it Tom? I sold CBA on ASX to close my II broker account and in a week they have risen from $73 to $79 and to add insult the AUD has been doing well against other currencies as well.
If I'd left it a month or two you can bet CBA would have slid and the FX rate would have too.

Alan, this blooming trading game dumbfounds me!
I have held CBA for so long for the dividends, then II screw me for maintenance costs which swallow a good bit of those dividends, I sell up and close that account at $73 and within a week the price is almost $79 and the AUD rallies against the world's currencies to make it even worse!

Next dividend not due until mid-August to make a rise inevitable so why does the price fly right now?
Probably because $73 was a very low low I guess? This one just looked after itself so I rarely look at how it is doing.

Charlie, I think Tom has a pot under the bed which he fills and empties regularly, it is very fluid!
And then he has Fort Knox in the cellar containing his major holdings, which will include a nice number of TLOU shares. Looks like his ARS received a deserved boot up it today :O) , should have kept the money in the pot and bought back TLOU on the trough! (be)Hindsight is wonderful though.
