I have just seen the Danny Baker tweet picture and, having seen it , I have lessened my condemnation of him by quite a bit.
I envisaged a normal chimp which was purely insulting, but it looks tiny on the steps of building and it is dressed in an Al Capone outfit. Overcoat, hat, boots and a walking stick or brolly.
It is an extremely funny picture and I can see why he'd tweet it because imho it does not conjure up thoughts of rascism in the slightest! I would expect everyone to think it was sweet or funny whatever their background?

It could be hospital steps and I really think it was a genuine error of judgement that many of us may have made.

I have been waiting for sub 7p here to use money I had earmarked elsewhere (same place as you 4 sure) having sold on the expectation of a price drop. Neither share is falling to where I want one of them .....

A bloke I worked with in London, started life in Abu Dhabi and as a 17yr old, was told do a FX deal for millions!
His first ever transaction, he made the phone call and the trader read it back to him!
It sounded like he had done the deal the wrong way round but was too shy to challenge the trader and assumed it was trader speak! When the paperwork came through he had done it the wrong way!

He waited for the boss to call him in, and, when it happened , his boss was delighted because he had made a large profit instead of a loss! I bet he was put through the mill leading up to that news but cannot remember.

s4m .... if I worked that out and sold the ST2 terms would have been so different that I'd have lost out.

Could it be all the talk about how few extra shares we are likely to receive in the oo?
Instead of asking for loads of extra shares and tieing up that cash if they are not forthcoming, it seems that many PI's are biting the bullet and buying on the open market at 22p or less (the price before the announcement)?

I use my broker for a dummy trades if I want an accurate value. Today was the timing , 12 minutes was a long time to have not changed. When we see the odd prices after close of trading it is possible that the history date is rolled forward a day and the SP changes to reflect that new day?

It might explain a lot?

I guess March 27th is the earliest rolling date they go back to for trades.About 6 weeks, 14 days for March amd May together plus April? It would have to be a Friday , on Monday it might reflect April Fool's day?

Not just us , trades for TLOU were from the same date BUT their share price was consistent with yesterday.
Just wondering if this is a beta problem , are you using beta? Maybe the original site was different?

At 8:12 lse were showing the share price above 20p ..... hope that is not too much to take in in one go Rich?
If you looked at trades - you know those recent ones? - they were dated the 27th of March .... not even the same tax year ..ok?

And on March 27th the price was indeed around 20p.

15p to 18p was the range ..... settled on 15p ..... given the prices being paid today I think Sirius got this one wrong?

So you sold over 47k shares (don't know your dealer costs but 47.5k or more likely) and requested 53k of which 35000 are guaranteed.
You have paid £2700 towards those extra 18k shares.So you'll end up over 12k shares down with £2700 in the bank if you only get 35k , or you'll have gained less than 6k shares for zero cost.

If you did sell 47.5k then to break even on the open market you'd need to but 12.5k shares for £2700 which is 21.6p (ignoring stamp duty and commission). When you consider those costs you'll have less than £2700 for shares so the break even price would be even lower than 21.6p

Good luck. I am surprised at today's rise nearly every early deal was a sale and getting nearer 15p seem more likely than 17p to me.Should have known if I sell the price will bounce.........

35,000 @ 15p is £5250 so Scotty would advocate selling 35,000 @ 16.8p i.e. £5880 less a piddly commission charge, say £10

He would then apply for 39,133 shares @ 15p (i.e. £5870) gaining 4,133 shares if you get them at nett zero cost, or a profit of £620 if you get your minimum of 35,000

Blimey, I have just set up a spreadsheet to see what funds I need to pay in.
Should have thought this through for longer.
Scotty's idea was for people who did not have the money for the OO , and that is maybe where it ends.
My spreadsheets show that I only have to put in a fraction of what I budgetted for.
Now I have adjusted the numbers to spend that budgetted figure, I realise the excess shares I need are ridiculously high and won't happen. Refunds were very slow if my memory is working, so I don't want the frustration of money being hung up to dry if the sp is at great buying prices! This is why I don't usually mess around and let sleeping dogs lie.

Instead of a nice issue at 15p with the prospect of a few more from the excess , I am having to plan my next course of action almost in desperation. All this to avoid a bed and isa and to get one over my broker.

I worry that the rising price is due to beginners taking Scotty's advice but are buying on the open market and not throught the OO :O( (very sad but not a joke!).

If you are thinking of taking Scotty's advice please remember the settlement date is not on the day.
e,g. sells today won't settle until the 13th which is plenty of time but don't leave your sell until next week!
I guess most ,if not all, brokers will accept unsettled cash as they usually do but on OO they do say you must be fully funded and could insist the funds are not there if they wanted to be nasty.

Hmmmmm, that would explain why brokers are so tardy in preparing the offers DGR.
Jarvis are still unready to accept bids but will be shortly (they said that on Monday I think?).
At least on Monday they confirmed the automatic offer. Better get my funds in place before I forget.

I asked my broker if I could fund my ISA and used my nominee allocation within the ISA instead of separate transactions and funding both accounts.

Reply "Please be advised we cannot place the nominee entitlement in the ISA, you can contact the Deal team after the issue to bed and isa the shares however the application will need to be made in the nominee for shares held outside the ISA."

I did what you suggested - sold both allocations in each account - so no funding needed for the nominee account and I can fund the ISA for my full request!

That is the theory .... in fact I will fund both and ask for excess on both in the hope I'll receive more shares that way.
I suspect they calculate the percentage of the excess requested they can fulfill and grant that percentage to each application? Does anyone know different?

Is it possibly proportional to how much cash is avaiable in each account?
