RE: Chukkers2 May 2020 02:11
I avoid social media Chuk, good to hear you are well. It is a horrible time and any absence is bound to cause some concern. I am fine thanks, apart from my sight being a bit fuzzy after my fall. I asked a guy in ASDA if the lights were causing his eyes ant grief, and he said, now you mention it!
Graham Norton had the new version of Uri Geller on, a mentalist.
He did a trick which required you to have a knife, fork and spoon handy.
Step 0, secretly put them in order right, middle and left.
Step 1. If there is a piece to the the right of the fork, swap them over, else do nothing (if there isn't one to the left).
Step 2. Swap the the knife with the piece to its left, else do nothing.
Step 3. Swap the spoon with the piece to is right, else do nothing!
I looked at the maths, and at that point they are in a fixed order irrespective of the starting sequence. So I don't know why he gave the next step ...
Step 4. Swap the fork with the piece to its right, else do nothing!
In fact that is a fixed move because you know there is a piece to the right!
His finale was to get you to sit on the left piece, followed by a revelation that the left one of the remaining two would be used for soup, and that you are sat on the knife! I only watched because I thought he was going to bend it like Beckham , or Uri? Pretty poor I thought.
