Why on earth would the Govt and/or Tlou deliberately drag out this project and the next one, solar ????????
Botswana are screaming out for electricity and Mr Moagi's edict to BPC to give us a PPA makes it clear the Govt back us.
The directors are currently taking pay-cuts so they'll be eager to get back on track for certain!
We know the Govt want us to keep our negotiations private and for us to comply suggests to me we are happy the way they are going. If there was unnecessary obstructions in our path, I'd expect TG to be raising the possibility of external funding which I believe is possible, though at unfavourable terms compared to a deal with BDC.

$10M or even $30M is a very minor risk for a new energy source imho! I'm half expecting a PPA for solar to arrive - 20Mw looks like instant coffee, whilst 10Mw of CBM sourced power is percolating.

This was a reply to ADVFN, but could equally well apply to Whizzer and other Thomases?

Colm's podcast Nov 27th , only a month before Wuhan news of Covid19 broke, less the Xmas and New Year break , so not very many days for his words to be enacted, strongly suggested that $10M was on the table, requiring those 2 words, "final answer".
And if we wanted to go for 10Mw (rather than 2Mw) then $30M might be as well.

Colm , whose disposition was so upbeat (happy), made me believe either offer was/is agreeable to BDC as soon as the outstanding PPA items (what were they?) were finalised. I kid myself the choice of $10M or $30M plus the dates were a bit part of the outstanding list.

And that is still where we are now due to the intervening lockdown?

Lockdown will hopefully ease enough to allow TLOU to pick up the reins again.
i.e. decide upon funding for 2Mw or 10Mw PPA and , my old chestnut , WHEN do we target delivery of the same?

The critical date for 2Mw will, imho, be date of connection to Serowe!
But for 10Mw , it will be a race between 10Mw power production and that connection?

A big decision for TG and co, knowing so many shareholders don't back their decisions. I do!

There are at least 3 variables in a PPA .... price, volume and timings!
Tantalisingly close imho meant the price and volume was flexibly worded to both parties satisfaction just leaving the poles and wires completion date to be settled? The critical path would surely end with Serowe receiving power from Lesedi!
We have installed a generator and connected it up at Selemo - so no fears there l?

At fairly short notice (things happened extremely quickly after Mr Moagi suddenly offered us a temporary PPA) the poles and wires suppliers/fitters had a lot on their plate before quoting dates. If penalty clauses apply for late delivery they needed time to get it right!

And that aspect is what has been stalled by covid! Production, delivery , and installing the kit might be dependent upon several countries lockdown policies for all we know? The same for Solar!

I cannot see any version of how things could pan out that won't be affected by that problem.
Are there several suppliers involved? So many questions! Get real Whizzer - Chris Fraser's solution would be to build a foundry, grow pines trees, build a copper mine and make our own poles and wires?

TG is in the real world and the real world is a difficult place nowadays!

If you can tell me when we will provide power to Serowe then I'll understand why you believe a deal was on the cards at any time in history. Until then nobody should want more than we have on the table.

You are bang on Woody, and the sooner we take funding, the sooner we start repaying!
Only a moron or a crook would willingly commit himself to expensive loan repayments before he expected to have the means to find that cash.

A good lender would not advance the funds to a loanee who was in that position either.
The Govt and TLOU have it right imho!
Once they have reasonable expectation of 'TLOU earning a living' by the repayment start date, they are back in business. The funds are agreed, the offer is on the table, the date is unknown until we complete our review of what the lockdown will allow us to do, and then we'll have lights, camera, action!

The only one with a PPA is Whizzer - he has a Perfect Plonker Award , with honours!
Filter him folks he sounds liked a scratched 78 record that is stuck.
His nose is longer than Pinocchio's - he cannot see beyond the end of it imho.

Chris Fraser is available to replace TG - he'll get us rolling - 460M shares will be several billions in no time flat! A heavy roller?

Wish someone on LSE would ask Whizzer - so they get a new crew to replace the BoD - then what?
The new crew would presumably need to see a good chance of commercial success otherwise why sign up themselves.
Would the new crew have any relationship with any of the Govt or Ministry folks - start again to build these talks how long?

Weird set of trades, 10 within 5 minutes which clearly mopped up the good samaritan's offer of 5.9c (whilst restoring the top end to 8.2c) , and then just before close someone, maybe the same samaritan, took the offer of 6.5c

4 buys of 14082 (56k) and then 2 trades of 50k , nett zero, and another sell of around 6k looks like the same person to me.
He ended up selling 50k @ 6.5c when the sell was less than 6c - is the methodology madness or genius? Seeing the price rise on a sell rather than a buy is unusual imho, but pleasing.

Loved the 10 year old girl singer - surely gonna be a star - best youngster I have heard ever., and has a lovely disposition for someone with her confidence. Can't remember her name, but that is hardly surprising when my favourite adult was in The World is Not Enough but her name escaped me! Went through the alphabet several times and decided her first name was Angelique - a million miles from Sophie Marceau which I googled before the titles came up. If my faith in TLOU is rewarded I don't think we have much time left to buy at 3.09p .
Hopefully, TLOU are in touch with suppliers and fitters of the poles and wires and we'll be able to estimate a delivery date for our power at Serowe.
We'll also need to review the state of the dewatering and the cost of supplying however much power we can, short-term. We'll have to estimate amount, price and delivery date of the power and both sides will be set for the overdue signing of the PPA.

Depending on how many guys are actually in the field , if MM is right and there are some , and where their expertise lies, it sounds too much to expect in a week, so we are looking at June or maybe July? Better than looked possible when the 6 month state of emergency was declared.

Pure guesswork on my part of course - I don't have crystal balls.

There is a doctor on TV saying young children don't pass on coronavirus to each other or adults.
If the kid and adult are standing the virus will usually have to rise a couple of feet - if the adult is sitting and the kid is standing, e.g. teachers, I reckon the teacher is at severe risk?

I have been complaining my eyesight is blurry for several weeks, needing a magnifying glass to read cooking instructions on packages and my nose has to be a few inches from labels on shop shelves! Have wanted to go to the opticians for weeks but could not decide I was an emergency?

Today I used the shower upstairs and saw a pair of specs on a chair I used to climb out of the window to access the roof, ages ago.

While i'm off topic, my voice activated recorder overnight has recorded me 69 times.
I haven't thrown myself out of bed since I bought it so good value for £18.
The vast majority of recording are less than a minute, sometimes less than 10 seconds, but are 99% coughing or snoring! I occasionally shout out and Poppy has barked a couple of times - once when there was a mouse in the ceiling (mouse trap got him a few days later - peanut butter proved irristable).

The drilling rig is out of commission Justa.
Whizzer borrowed it to dewax his ears and the drill got stuck on the way from one ear to the other.

I don't know how many men are required to operate the rig but I doubt our finances are enough to to cover them during this self-imposed lockdown at TLOU, and they are allowed to travel to Lesedi in the first place.

The signs are that a return to work is not so far away ...

Keebine says in short, Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and the processing of the country raw material, some of the productions can be undertaken immediately. “The country, not government must identify those areas with potential to turn around quick and these will be dependent on the global value chains of markets, brands and end sales, in short global demand. We need to attract entities/brands such as KOO to setup production plants here to manufacture tomato sauce, tomato purity amongst others; but for this to happen we must see farmers producing tons of tomatoes,” the Business Botswana President strongly advices.

Agreed MM, it has crossed my mind that I should sell my ASX shares for over 3p and buy on the FTSE below 3p. I won't because I don't see London catching up with the ASX price, and, as you say, the ASX punters believe in TG and have done for ages. And the Aussies have to trade on ASX as I understand it.

Add in the forecast depression here and the FX rate may favour the ASX price as well.
Perhaps I should take a hit now, while the prices are closeish and sell FTSE and buy ASX :O)

Ease of lockdown day approaches .... fingers crossed the starting blocks are being put in place!

TLOU say it how it is - it was perfectly true - we were virtually there!
Interim PPA very close with the funding to follow.

The price, volumes and dates were needed for the PPA to be signed imho.

I reckon the volume and price was a little bit tricky because of the fluctuating gas flows but there was a will to get it done - and I'd hope they could have worded the PPA to allow for the range of power we are capable of producing.

And then Covid struck, forcing us to shut down operations to the minimum because funds would run out.
Directors took pay cuts and they got our finances to stretch to 3 quarters (9 month) to keep ASX happy - a serious danger sidelined for a few months.

We have done all we can to secure the PPA , and so have the Govt.

Nobody in their right mind would expect BPC to agree to a deal with us in our current state of lockdown. Dewatering continues at a slower rate but is hopefully improving.

Once lockdown is eased TLOU plan to increase the number of pods to speed up dewatering and to put in the poles and wires, with the full PPA in mind no doubt.

The interim PPA can be completed with the estimated date to complete the poles and wires. The installation of a generator or two will be sooner judging by Selemo.
The state of dewatering is more or less immaterial for the interim PPA because it very existence allows for whatever power we can produce.

THEN AND ONLY THEN can the PPA be signed?

Date of repayment on it will say to be arranged (TBA) or the twelfth of never!

TG would happily agree to such a contract - the delay is bugger all to do with our management - the govt need security before funding us - simples!

Signing the PPA will, I hope , release the funds from BDC very soon after.

You must be really bored Justa - I find it hard work fighting biased opinions on either extreme.
I have been challenged to start listening to the negative views if the lockdown is eased enough for us to resume work unimpeded (to a degree). And I will still have faith in TLOU I think!

TG has laid the groundwork for a shift into Solar or both with little effort!
A PPA for Solar will be less complicated , sun drenched available land is all it needs, and we'll be still able to go the CBM route if we want to.

Management at TLOU covers every angle in my book - but we'll soon see CBM is alive and kicking once the cervix dilates a bit!
