arrived in my email overnight. Couldn't recall doing it and then realised it was an hour after I turned off the computer.

A second email was also sent , and made it clear this corporate action was triggered from my ASX holding!

Tlou Energy Limited have issued a rights issue offering shareholders the right to subscribe to new shares in the company at the ratio of 1 new share for every 6 shares held, at a subscription price of AUD 0.04 per share. The rights are not expected to trade.



Every 2 new shares issued carries an entitlement to 1 free attaching option. Options are exercisable at AUD0.08 anytime up to expiry. Options expire 20 JUL 2022. (Unlisted)



If you wish to participate in the rights offering, please instruct by replying to this email from your registered email address before IG Deadline is 12pm AEST 10.07.2020 (Please ignore the expiry date on the contract of the position booked on to your account as this is for administrative purposes only).

One of the woman viewers texted in about queueing at a McD drive thru.

At the check-in she paid for both her own food and the woman's order from the other car.
The woman behind mouthed thank you and gave her a friendly wave when the cashier told her :O)

Your figures are what we expected when BDC were wholly in charge of our funding (as a provider).
They have clearly changed with our forthcoming placing - we are raising the first $3M ourselves!
So external funding for 2Mw will be nearer $7m , and the full 10Mw , $27m.

I imagine the $3M is enough to commence the ordering/installation of poles and wires , and to resume dewatering #3 or #4 , and hopefully ordering/commissioning a generator.
But is only enough to resume work - that $7M or $27M will be required to fully deliver 2Mw or 10Mw!

Solar isn't reflected in those figures at all (apart from sharing the poles/wires) so it is a question of scale on Solar how much extra funding that will need? Having the BERA agreement gives us the chance to spend some of the CBM cash on Solar to get it off the ground and no more.

As you say Whizz, we'll have to wait and see - me more relaxed than you - no doubt?

TG will get it right imho.

IG have opened LSE:TLOU for normal trading. Buy and Sell fixed Quote both 2.4p so raising the placing cash by selling some long term shares is possible with a tiny profit.

Whizzer, you seem convinced that we'll be printing shares on funding.
Not sure what % I'd put on this, but I expect BDC et al to loan the cash and after 2 years we'll start paying it as debt! When Com said all of them would want their 'clip' , I took that to mean x% interest ! TLOU wanted a PPA to produce sales to get that x% on a secured loan basis , and to lower it again for further funding whether Solar or Mambo or Boomslang (or all 3) plus Lesedi expansions continue reducing the risk.

Imho that is why we tolerated delays from BDC - it is already agreed to be treated as debt - but I am guessing of course. Would BDC want shares in a company that they will try to screw for the lowest price of power to help their country ????

All 4 trades were buys @ 5.5c last night.
I'll never understand some trades. I'm thankful for them because my portfolio looks healthier with an sp of 5.5c rather than 4c.
IG still have a block on LSE:TLOU online trading - very irritating - I'm considering using them for ASX holdings, and XO for London. Jarvis don't appear to be treating us differently.

The ministry mentioned Botswana becoming an exporter of power - and the coal burners are looking at Zambia and South Africa to buy their electricity , and dare I say , to finance them?

It is possible that their projects have been running for years and they are due to deliver sooner than us. On the other hand did they take note of TG's initiative to do what the others are doing and rely on outside nations for their future rather than Bots? Perhaps the Govt consider providing dirty energy for foreigners is ok but but not for themselves - they only want the green stuff ?

Many of you have been trying to convince me for years that we are mugs for trusting the Bots Govt and maybe TG should have carried out his possible move to external funding long ago. Eric was far too cautious or dodgy (not sure which) but we have the real McCoy in Mr Moagi imho and I'm more hopeful of Botswana paying up than outsiders - so it might work out perfectly in the long run.

Sekaname plan to provide Orapa with CBM because their setup is for dual fuel (coal and gas) but KE planned that back in 2012 so I doubt it will happen. I've always believed Sekaname were only named as a preferred bidder (with us) to weaken the hold we'd have had if the Govt only had Hobson's choice. I still think that way. Their omission from a licence supports that view too?

Look at the size of our 850Mw fellow licencees' commitments and I think TLOU , who look to be the poor relation , will actually beat them to production. And I don't mean 2Mw , I mean 10Mw of CBM plus any Solar that we can entertain. The capacity of the 66Kv Serowe link will be fully utilised first I think, assuming that all 3 licencees are starting from scratch. I haven't looked to see if the coal mines already exist or if the power stations are under construction. The Bera decision suggests maybe, but the 15 years licence may suggest not? The local population looks very spartan so my hope is that working for TLOU is more attractive than working directly with coal.

Orapa is still part of KE/Sekaname's plans for CBM I guess - otherwise t'others might have wanted to resurrect it or other failing power plants based on burning actual coal.

What is clear to me, is that TG's claim to be Botswana's leading CBM powered producer had just been validated. In TG I trust!

It is excellent - there is a list of towns and villages and if you click on SHOW they zoom in on the location. Shame Lesedi and Sandvelt are both omitted - presumably wilderness?

Moripole, Serowe, Orapa all feature. I hadn't realise Gabarone is so close the S.A. Border. If there are loads of depots around Gabarone from which to distribute goods - maybe South African delivery men are not a great threat beyond Gabarone - could be good news for Lesedi to Serowe district?

Botswana: Energy Authority Issues Licenses

Lobatse — Botswana Energy Regulatory Authority (BERA) this week issued licenses to three Independent Power Producers (IPPs) to construct three power stations and generate electricity in Botswana.

The three companies include the Gaborone based Energy & Natural Resource Corporation and Sese Power, which is based in Francistown as well as Tlou Energy, which is listed in the Australian Securities Exchange, London's AIM market and the Botswana Stock Exchange.

The power stations are envisaged to produce a combined maximum daily total of 827 megawatts.

According to terms of their license, Energy & Natural Resource Corporation has been granted authority to construct a 600 megawatts coal-fired power station north of Morupule Colliery in the Central District.

The company is expected to export the electricity they generate to various parties, including the Southern African Power Pool, ZESA and Eskom.

Sese Power, on the other hand, has been granted authority to construct a 225 megawatts coal-fired power station east of Makomoto village near Tonota.

They will then export their electricity to mining companies in Zambia.

The third company, Tlou Energy, will construct a two megawatts coal bed methane fueled power station at Western Sandveld Ranches also in the Central District.

It is not explained in the thread below, but it looks like IG have an ongoing problem on placings. I'm glad I raised my cash earlier this week now. I don't use anything but share-trading on IG but their main business lies with CFD and similar gambling - I reckon that side of the business can come unstuck when a placing is underway. I wonder if their rules cover CFD when there is a fixed price option involved? It will be a very complicated set of rules if they exists.

I am trying to dump the Rights Issue shares, but for 2 days the option has been set at 'Call to close'. There is nothing i can do with this stock, all the while the price is dropping through the floor.

Please can someone advise on whats going on here?

Does it Zippy? It only works between consenting phone users - i.e. those with the app running.
The phone interactions was successful on the IOW according to the BBC. It was the mainframe stuff that was the problem and the way it worked.

IG are treating LSE TLOU differently for some reason.

I'm hoping it is because they are recording holdings for the placing and want a static view?
Hard to believe that though - it must be a well worn path.
Some will sell today in order to raise the offer money but on my holding it comes up "Call to close". BTS is advised to do that if only to make the extra 50% available to him once he gets his money back.

A couple of late buys trying to get a few more 4c shares entitlements no doubt?
5.5c at close as a result - I'm not sure that they'll qualify - the record date is end of play Monday (Sunday night in Oz our time) so they needed to be bought yesterday to be registered in time?

As you can tell the time difference blows my mind. If it were a dividend payment, then today would be ex-dividend day, hence yesterday would have been last day to buy.

Axed because a central storage facility of ALL contacts didn't work? And users had to report suspected symptoms? Madness!

Surely the app should simply record any phone numbers that come within range on each persons phone?
Then when a medic diagnoses Coronavirus they take their phone and contact those numbers?
I don't know anybody's name or address when I dog walk, or shop assistants details - the only people I meet nowadays - but if they carried phones with the app my phone would identify their contact number.
You wouldn't need to do anything but install and run the app, and have a memory card that Google hasn't pinched on an Android.

I think it will be well over-subscribed at 2.2p and 4c Damo (and so do you, I suspect).
The fixed price option on half those shares is usually reserved for directors - feels nice!
It shows how TG considers us shareholders, and always has, despite some views on here and elsewhere. I'll be using savings, if necessary, to take my full entitlement because selling at 5.6c is reducing my entitlement each time I do it. Another way to lose money?

****! Just backed a winner and could not read the cashback figure! Purple on Betfair so I tried Dark Reader software to vary the colours.

None would make it visible! I highlighted and it showed up as white on grey ok! Losing a few pence so only losing was unreadable!
After a few more failures I highlighted it again, and this time it activated by mistake so I took a losing cash back (a few pennies) instead of winning a few pounds.

I think I'll write a book on the many ways to lose money - this was a first!
I took it as an omen but I should have kept faith. and backed it again (poorer odds went against the grain I must admit). Was thinking of donating a few quid to Dark Reader (freeware) but not after they cost me money!

We have to link to Serowe first and ,once that is complete, we'll possibly have up to 20Mw of solar and more than 2Mw of CBM power ready to warm the wires. Until then 2Mw will be an easy target imho - subject to lockdown on supplies and suppliers being able to function.

IG a few minutes ago - 2.9p on AIM is very unlikely until placements are concluded.

IG will quote you 1 share , as is clear from the link , but minimum trade , on a buy , is £60 or more , so this would have been rejected had I accepted it!
