The saying, commencing, "if it looks to good to be true" has been Donk's fear for years.
I have preferred "If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck!".

My belief is very simple which is why I can defend it with quite a bit of certainty despite my memory being severely on the decline. Donk straws included a very long list of potential disasters several of which involved the board telling porkies with no foundation at all. I suspect there is an element of good will in his approach - warning punters off investing more than they could afford to risk if it went tits up a la Sirius!

Having come unstuck on two stocks, I am as aware of a potential catastrophe but nothing Donk put forward shookmy belief in TG who is the most remarkably great liar in history if that proves to be true. I believe he did make a fortune for shareholders inhis previous 2 ventures, that Botswana has better prospects than the other 2, that the Govt are supportive of Tlou but have not had the proof that the project will pay off, that there has been a vicious circle of no proof/no funding/no proof for too long. Lefoko bit the bullet and without Covid I like to think that we'd have been funded, drilling would have accelerated in Lesedi and/or Mamba, and we'd have proved the gas will flow and we already know there is lots of it guaranteed!

We are close to resuming when Covid is no longer stopping the world and, given the lack of abuse I have received lately, a lot of people who share my beliefs (and deny Donk's) are putting their money where my mouth is.
I have always thought that the abuse on here has frightened off a high number of genteel shareholders from offering their opinion! Every share issue has over subscribed - proof imho!

My family obsession with telling the truth did not allow me to sit back and let TG be unfairly torn to shreds with no reply.
And I do like to "fill the urinals" though I am not sure many of of you understand my humour.

I have said a fw times on here that Donk is capablle of good posts but nobody believed me. How long can he remain Devil's advocate without becoming offensive? All the way to 20p+ is my bet! (He'll want to prove me wrong, so I wait in anticipation for a rude response!).

My Anglo funding from SXX went into TLOU - it now looks like it may have have been money well spent , stresswise if nothing else. Fraser underestimated the cost according to the quote. Good for nothing?

I think many expect him to repeat his profit takes at Arrow and Sunshine as soon as possible, but I have an open mind.
I haven't had the pleasure of a personal conversation with him, but I think he was young enough to embark on this project, and old enough to make this his swan song. Half way house might be to sell out, pass responsibiity to his successor, but keep enough shares to maintain an interest in our project whilst enjoying his retirement. He has always promised to do his best for shareholders, and I believe that. So am I bothered? Catherine Tate could answer that :O)

No Jeff, I'm in here for my son's benefit and to prove that if spread your risk in shares you'll so better than putting all your eggs in one basket. There are 5 stocks I have invested heavily in and I made an omelette with the other 4 or they are in the microwave waiting for a miracle. That leaves TLOU with the responsibility for resurrecting the omelette into fillet steak!

HMV were paying 16% dividends , Sirius looked nailed on but got too ambitious , AVN are in Africa mainly and could not get the sales network up and running before the debts grew too high , USOP was run by leprechauns who still think they'll make a fortune in oil from Nevada (dreamers) and then there is Tlou. Looking back I now realise I was sucked iby Tom Bulford on all but HMV which sold itself. The 4 failures and BS come to mind! TG is certainly not ovine and more importantly he is not a financier with big deams like the CEOS in my failures - he is an honest to goodness engineer in oil and gas who happens to make money from his expertise! I should have stuck with that sort from the start - Dyson could have made me rich - Tony will get all my money back from failures I hope.

So unless my finances demand it, care homes out of my control come to mind , I'm in as long as I survive.

Bless whoever it was who delayed his last trade in Oz. It was the only buy at the top of the spread @ 7.5c so the week closed there , close to the 8c - let's hope the UK follow suit and we end up near 4.4p here too!

From TLOU's point of view, money spent on options goes into their coffers, whereas on the open market does not help TLOU directly (but indirectly a stronger sp does them no harm). It is only better to buy on the open market if that price is below 4.4p (or 8c) in short.

nasir, if you are going to buy with cash that is independent on the selling of existing share it does not matter in all honesty.
You are going to be paying exactly the same price whenever you buy.

My recent posts refer to punters who don't have the readies to take up the offer.
If you need to sell a few to raise the cash then you should be looking to part with the fewest shares you can to get the options. Selling at the highest price up to the date in 2022 needs the wisdom of Soloman. The obvious hope is that 2022 will reveal a TLOU that is well established and healthy in all respects include share-price. So leaving it late might be favourite.

But, if e.g. gas flows suddenly leap up, accompanied by a stampede to buy ordinary shares, if you think the price is a false high it would make sense to sell and buy before the price drops.

Had a dental appointment on Tuesday and my dentist found one and said she wanted a second opinion on it.

The hospital phoned yesterday with an appointment for March 11th - got to admit the speed of this is worrying. Melanoma and tattoos can be confused. If there is good news it was recorded in 2012 so fingers crossed. It is usually mercury from the old silver coloured fillings getting into the gum! Anyone else been through this?

I used 37,500 because I disclosed that number to Cheeky already (not recommended but MM posts encouraged me to prove him wrong).
If you can download it please do and change 37500 to your entitlement. The body is locked so if you want to extend the price beyond 25p you'll need to unlock it.
No surprises .... this is a simple version and it all it confirms is is that it is best to sell at a high price!
I now want to feed historical prices using a similar concept with fluctuations galore to see if peaks and troughs suggest a price to trade at. Leaving it to the deadline date is probably wrong because the take ups will dilute the share price a bit.

Your story reminds me of Frank Webber, platform porter at Wellington (Somerset) station pre-Beeching!
A load of pigeons were being sent to Cornwall for a prestigious pigeon race but were temporarily offloaded in Wellington for some reason.
Frank felt sorry for them stuck in their baskets in the heat so he opened the baskets to let them have a fly around!
He assumed they'd return to the baskets and it cost British Rail a few bob in compensation.

Poppy has appreciated more in value than most of your shares guys! To buy her as a puppy today would cost 5 times the price my son paid for her almost 10 years ago. Not that she's for sale mind you! I have started putting her supper treats in a roller ball with a variable size loading/unloading hole! She brings it to me when it stops delivering treats, for me to iden the aperture. It would make a good video! Especially once it is empty! I cannot decide whether she has hasn't realised it needs to rattle for there to be treats in it , or whether she knows and hopes I'll refill it? Usually brings it back empty 2 or 3 times before giving up. No more Poppy stories I promise.

Logged off happy with 10 trades showing and 7c achieved - a shade disappointed that a couple of turdy/tardy sells moved us back to 6.6c at close , but the good news is that those shares are out of their hands so they cannot sell them again!
6.6c is almost 3.7p up 6.45% so right direction.

My1, TG is looking for staged payments not the whole $10M or $30M immediately. The options could replace a few of those stages but I don't expect people to rush out and buy those options until 2022.
Chicken and egg will make them hold back I think. There is the possibility that after the budget today folks cannot afford the options. One of the ways out is to sell enough of their shareholding to raise the cash for the options. If that price is above 8c / 4.4p the number will be fewer than they are their entitlement. The higher the price the fewer shares that are required and the higher aggregate number afterwards.

If we had a spike (as we did around 17p when a few of you caiught a cold, this approach could be better than waiting until closure date. What size that spike needs to be is the $64M question?

I'll have a quiet day today as I consider a spreadsheet that could simulate the idea - it will take my mind of what posts are being killed off in a "chat room" by the gestapo!

Oncemore , I have been marking time for up to two years now. I dinna ken how anybody expected anything to happen barring Lefoko making it sound possible against the odds. Covid lockdowns are coming to a close once Botswana and Australia and any contractor's countries get enough vaccine.

It is interesting that TG is issuing news in the UK before Australia - the market is more favourable in the UK than on ASX because of it perhaps. I've always thought the grapevine would grow in Brisbane when there is breaking news but TG seems to be running a watertight ship so maybe not. We've all waited too long for this period in our history and a gestation period of 9 months will be very exciting methinks.

The only post that mentions warrants on here after the pruning seems to be MM's original post.

It is hard to envision ASX dropping further behind LSE in which case it has some catching up to do! Our spread is not far off the option price of 4.4p - so 7c+ does not look impossible. Surely both exchanges will move in the same direction one of these days.
